Controller honestly is a bit easier in the sense of having more of your abilities be easily accessible faster and without contortion. It's seriously a really well done system. Moving around and using abilities mapped to the D-Pad is a bit of a pain though.

Like you have to get the black chocobo as a mount, but I'm not sure you ever have to mount it. You can still own mounts without the license, you just can't ride any until you do that GC quest. No yeah, I guess I was right, the MSQ quest does not have a pre-req for having a mount. So you can do it indefinately.

That's not even honest healing. Honest healers at least, generally, keep you topped off because there's nothing else to do. This person doesn't even do that. No DPS, demands no big pulls, and won't begin healing until you're at like 50%. Why even bother playing.

Or get yourself a regular weekly group doing treasure maps. Even a bad day can net you 150-200k gil just from gil drops from chests and mobs, anything good on top of that can lead to an easy couple mil a night

Going "I got a map or two, who else wants in" will get a few 70s hitting the MB for some high maps. Goon map runs are also generally "everyone rolls for anything they can, except if a map drops, that belongs to whoever's map we're doing" so even if you come in without a map to search for, you can get good stuff.

Maps are not boring they are excellent. Just eight rear end in a top hat murderhobos out in the sticks with their bird friends blowing up the countryside and finding hidden dungeons filled with loot.
