I don't know much from comic books, but I thought Eddie Brock was supposed to be kind of an rear end in a top hat, not the intrepid, righteous investigative journalist the trailer paints him as. Hence his whole "violent antihero/villain" shtick. I might be wrong, natch.

For some reason (the gasmask?) I kind of get the feeling that they'll go with some sort of chemical or experiments or something instead of literal Satan-worship in the movie. Hope I'm wrong. Also wouldn't be surprised if they change the ending in some way, not that it'll be a "happy" one.

Now I'm trying to remember whether that flub made it into the actual movie. Still, that entire fight scene was loving top-tier.

I can't tell from that trailer whether it's going to be just medical torture porn or if it's gonna try for a "Nurse Ratched was misunderstood" angle, maybe even with a touch of misplaced female empowerment? Anyways, I've a prediction: at some point, maybe not in the first season, but at some point there's going to be at least the insinuation that The Combine is a concrete entity. Because that's what these types of adaptations always do, they'll comb through the short, standalone material for every little detail they can then expand on and over-explain it into mundanity. The only good parts about the MCU Spidermans were their villains, but the nostalgiabating in that trailer does nothing for me. Also, not for nothing, but Tom Holland's finally aging out of being able to play a highschool kid.

I hate the idea being peddled that Ghostbusters was a heartwarming tale about fambly because the 80s and Stranger Things, when in reality it was a deeply sardonic, witty comedy.

The trailer didn't seem that interesting until the big reveal half way through, I wish I'd not watched it as I would have gone and seen it anyway based on the strength of Knock at the Cabin. So the twist is gonna be that the real killer is the guy he has chained up in the basement, right?
