Demo is slowwwwwww and I don't remember DMC4SE being turbo as default unless it just was... Also the camera is entirely too close. Promising though.

It seems kinda silly but I can think of a couple reasons for it. One is that it simplifies things a lot (the games are in numerical order now except for 3, which is a prequel). The other reason is that they were hyping up DMC5 as a direct sequel to DMC4, and 2 kinda just got in the way. Ah, gotcha. Also I'd forgotten about that video which just straight up goes "yeah and then 2 exists but anyway, onto 4..." Beautiful.

Online PvP like the unfairly forgotten about Platinum game Anarchy Reigns. That was actually a lot of fun with friends and the fight system in it was decent enough to allow you a level of leniency when it came to getting smashed. Not quite sure how you'd do a DMC game justice considering the depth of the system and some of the dumb poo poo you can do with combos.

I'm glad to see some love for Anarchy Reigns in here  It had some cool characters that deserve to be seen outside of this one fairly unloved game. How can you not love The Blacker Baron with his Ghostface Killer eagle gloves that light on fire?

I bought the Vergil DLC but am yet to play it however last week I listened to Bury the Light like 5 times in an hour because it whips. I'll add that this kind of emo metal is very much not my vibe too.
