Hey all, sorry if this question has been asked a bunch. I played through Moon when it came out and it was fine but I only really beat the story. I just played through Shield and loved it and completed the Galar Dex and now that Home is out I’m thinking about going back and playing Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon. If I played Moon originally, which should I get? I know with Black/White you were supposed to get the corresponding sequel since you got the other game’s legendary. Is that how it works with Ultra Sun/Moon?

I bought Ultra Sun since I’m on a bit of a Pokémon kick after putting 100+ hours into Shield. I named my kiddo Yennefer and plan to only dress her in the least appropriate clothing for the climate. Got a Jolly Litten on my first try, praise Arceus. I am gonna trade a Jolly Rowet over from Moon and they’re gonna be best buddies taking down all the baddies together.

But it was Gen III and for some reason Psyduck didn’t learn water gun or any water moves until Hydro Pump so he was terrible and made the game horrible to play.

Somebody earlier in the thread said Ultra Sun/Moon kinda ruined the story. I just got past the Necrozma part and I agree, drat. How dumb and anti-climactic. The original confrontation with Lusamine was way better, from what I remember. The Ultra Beasts were kind of non-entities in the story, which is weird considering the name Ultra Sun.

I played the PMD demo and it’s definitely a huge improvement over the original in every way. I see there are moves from past Gen III (like Scald) but are there any post-Gen III Pokemon? Or is it faithful to the original in that way? I still won’t pay full price for it so maybe if it goes on sale some day I’ll pick it up and start from where I left off in the demo.

Pokken Tournament DX seems pretty good... I am having a fun time playing it for free right now. Is it worth buying? I’m wrecking single player but it seems pretty easy so far (I’m about to finish up C rank) but I played one battle online and it was pretty tough and ended up being a close match. Is there still a pretty good player base in this game? Is it worth getting the DLC, too?

There are also a bunch of new items including TR’s, clothing and accessories and you get to catch a bunch of Pokémon that weren’t in the base game. There’s a lot to it.

This list pretty much eliminates every team I've been playing in doubles recently, which is kinda bittersweet cause I finally got my favorite team balanced enough to tear apart the meta teams if I don't screw up the predictions. I never really got into competitive double battles so that explains a lot. Yeah I could see Excadrill and Hippowdon being a strong pairing.

Did they ever do an event with Zarude? Did I totally miss out on that? I’ll laugh if I did. They were supposed to give away that other legendary electric Pokémon if a million people defeated it in a raid but I guess that never happened, huh.

Wait does this Alolan Diglett I got for finding all 151 digletts is Jolly, has a hidden ability and I’m guessing 31 attack IV? That kinda owns??? Definitely worth the tedium. Edit: how do you receive gifts in Pokémon Home?
