I think “whenever day becomes night or night becomes day” is hard to parse because it’s supposed to be read:

“Whenever

day becomes night

or

night becomes day”

But it’s easy to misread as the headache inducing:

“Whenever

day becomes night or night

becomes day”

It is not clear the word “or” starts a new condition – rather than modifying the one you’re reading – until you have read the whole phrase, and if you don’t realise that then “day becomes night or night” is a headfuck. I’ve no idea if that’s a resolvable issue in templating but that’s where I think the issue lies

Obviously we don't have access to sales data but what sets are perceived to be big "popularity spikes" for Magic? Like for example it's always been my understanding that when Duels of the Planeswalkers/the 2010 core set came out it was a huge boost for the game.

Very cool. don't know how good it'll be but compared to other cards that force your opponents to have tokens like clackbridge troll or relic robber, this seems like a big step up.

What do we need to trigger the cycle to start, any day bound creature? Or something that starts the cycle?

Turn one, land, go, it doesn't become night immediately, since there is nothing that cares about it?

I never really played with transform cards before, but I guess this means spells don't fizzle if their target transforms, right? So you can target a werewolf you control, have it flip into night mode, and it will keep the trample/attack boost/curiosity effect?
