I'm sure her principles are decent enough but you need someone with fire in their belly to stand up and fight for them. Yeah it would have been Ed Milliband 2.0, though that’s probably still better than what we ended up with

A Lib Dem Prospective Mayoral Candidate Was Filmed Urging Voters Not To Vote For A Jewish Candidate During A Failed Election Bidquote:The Lib Dems have shortlisted a candidate who was seen launching an antisemitic campaign against her election rival during an unsuccessful effort to become an MP. Unbelievable that Jeremy Corbyn would travel back in time an infect an otherwise reasonable person standing for non-racist parties with antisemitism.

As a homebrewer this seems pretty rad to me. If I could spare the time and energy and lived less than 200 miles away I’d be interested, but I’ll throw in the little I can afford at the moment anyway

I guess you can only sustain anxiety for so long. I’m kind of the same and I’m pretty sure it’s because we’ve got a much better idea of how the virus spreads now, so it feels that as long I avoid small indoor spaces and maskless idiots I know the chances are as low as can be. Since both me and my fiancée work from home, the only time either of us spends any time in a building that’s not our house is our weekly grocery shop (done on a Friday afternoon when it’s not particularly busy.)

I watched that show when it was on and on my TV couldn’t make out any of his tattoos, just could tell that they looked like poo poo. Did not realise it was nazi poo poo. Probably won’t surprise anyone to hear that he did not work well in a team and just wanted to dictate to other people what to do. Like, I get that the reason nazis use these silly codes is so that normies have no idea did nobody stop to ask him what his tattoos meant?

The govt is trying to balance minimising economic damage against an 'acceptable' number of deaths while constantly glancing back at the headlines, not entirely unlike that old dril tweet Except that as has been proved over and over, you can’t protect the economy while people are scared of contracting a potentially deadly virus. The best thing for every country would have been to just take a ‘year off’ as it were and reduce consumption (and thus required workers) to a minimum but alas, capitalism will stand for nothing but ceaseless expansion.
