But then that kinda weird thing happens when you get an algorithm blessing? I just had one with an older Final Fantasy VIII video that started doing huge numbers out of nowhere, and it's really cool but, at least from my experience, it does also seem to exist in a bit of a vacuum. It doesn't necessarily mean you get an absolute ton more subscribers or that a whole load of your other vids start doing brilliantly too (mind, I did finally redo my REALLY old FFVII vids to take advantage and that also did swimmingly). So, yeah mentions or referrals from other channels can bring in viewers that stick around.

I don't really watch many streams, but I do for some occasions, where a (usually pre-recorded content) creator does a one-off stream. For instance, Hainbach, an electronic music youtuber did a live stream listening party for one of his album releases that I enjoyed. That's a great use for live streaming, in my books

There's probably potential for the development of actual artistic tools, that are new and actually useful for human artists. I think it's just that this tech is at the earliest steps. Like if everyone was saying computers will revolutionize all kinds of art in 1983. Sure, given enough time it would be true, but the apple IIe wasn't going to be the step that does that.
