Dear Satan,

I've never asked you for much before, but please,

Be careful what you wish for cause the Democrat Party won't allow a leftist challenge to them and the Republican will be Bush Palin Romney Trump 2.0 who will suspend democracy, pass tax cuts for their rich buddies and round up all the minorities you like into camps literally the second they get in power. Every leftist with a platform will agree how its the most important election ever and how we need to set aside small disagreements to defeat the barbarian hordes at the gates, or else they'll get the Greenwald/Dore "what happened to them" blacklist treatment. And most leftists will absolutely buy it.

They just last year turned a mass movement for racial justice and criminal justice reform into a pandemic ignoring get out the vote drive for the unrepentant and senile author of the 94 crime bill. Bernie and AOC will absolutely ask you to vote for that ticket.

The Democrats believe so hard in a strong Republican Party that they're going to create entirely new generations of anti-tax, small government libertarians.

Anyone who thinks Hillary "won" those debates bought and still buys the media narrative that she was just the best ever and should be checked for residual brainworms.

Link's to the stage show reproduction of the debates where they flipped the genders of Trump and Hillary to "prove" he won due to misogamy. Turns out Trump would win even harder as a woman.

I wonder what Rob Reiner et al will up to when the Eternal Imperium of Trump de facto steals an election with a bunch of psycho governors and supreme court rulings. Not take to the hills, surely. Probably keep telling everyone to vote in the next election when the voting machines are all contracted out to Mike Lindell?

Do people not remember that this already happened 22 years ago? Straight up psycho governor and supreme court ruling stealing the Presidential election.

The answer is that they will do nothing but some ineffectual whining and promptly forget it as long as they retain their little fiefdoms and get to go to brunch.

i'm willing to bet good money that if they had known how fast their lil' puppet regime would fold there's be us troops in kabul to this day

The expectation was probably that once the US troops withdrew and the Taliban launched their offensive, that the Kabul govt would manage to hold out for a little while, long enough for a propaganda campaign (the Taliban broke the deal! Women's Rights! War Crimes! on the front pages of the NYT and Wash Post) to gin up support for a surge of troops to save the day. Any peace negotiations would be dead for years and we'd be there forever. Thank God that the Taliban's advance was so rapid and the collapse of the Kabul govt so immediate and complete that everyone in DC was caught completely off-guard and all that was left was to hastily evacuate the State/CIA/Contractors and collaborators who we clearly were not prepared or intended to evacuate.

And don't forget that Biden has sent troops back into Somalia after Trump pulled them out

ELECTION DENIALISM IS THE GREATEST THREAT TO OUR DEMOCRACY!

Don't forget that the Dems believe that the 2000 and 2004 elections were stolen as well. 2004 is especially funny since Diebold voting machines went from obvious tools of Republican cheating that should be banned, to infallible instruments of democracy and if you question their security you are doing a treason.

The only reason you think harm is increasing is that social media has brainwashed you into not believing the government's official facts and statistics. As you can see above, the rate of harm increasing has fallen to its lowest level since 1.5 years into the Biden Presidency. Give the President a little credit for the fantastic job he's doing! Can you imagine if Trump got in and turned back the clock to the dark, fascist days of 2019?????? Why, Trump would probably be doing a genocide and shutting down the border!

In 100 years, if histories are still being written, Trump will be mostly forgotten other than the trivia of his terms being split. But Biden will be the guy that is pointed to as making the decisions and actions that cost America its place at the top of the world stage.

In 100 years, Trump will be remembered as a Andrew Jackson figure who so completely dominated and reshaped national politics, for better or worse, that he defines the entire period. Obama will be the one reduced to trivia answer a la John Quincy Adams (First Black President!).

red states as well as shitlib blue states jumping on board makes sense in that context to me

It’s called one side actually considers a holiday a holiday and the other is a capitalist hellhole where the workers can have an acknowledgement as a treat.

If it hadn't been for the Libertarians stealing the rightful votes of Donald J. Trump, Minnesota would have gone red in 2016 with the rest of the blue wall.

More importantly, we should be bemoaning the blatant partisanship and dastardly scheming of Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. If she hadn't selfishly retired in 2006 and instead clung to her seat on the bench until death finally took her like the noble and selfless RBG, Biden would have got to nominate her replacement.

This one is fun because it goes to the House of Representative but every state gets the same voting power as if they were the Senate. California’s fifty‐two representatives are together only as powerful as one Dusty Johnson (R–SD).

And that’s why the U.S. Constitution is the greatest document this side of the Holy Bible. :911:

The last time the election went to the House was 200 years ago. In the Corrupt Bargain of 1824, Speaker of the House and 3rd place runner up Henry Clay conspired with the 2nd place John Quincy Adams to deny popular demagogue Andrew Jackson, the popular vote and electoral college plurality winner, the Presidency. Adams would then make Clay his Secretary of State, and Jackson would wage a 4 year public revenge campaign that would result in his overwhelming victory in 1828 to the aghast of the Washington establishment. Clay and Adams would go on to be remembered as trivia questions while Jackson's name would define the entire period and his face put on the $20 bill.
