Wild DiscoLock usually is just kind of an OK-ish deck compared to everything else. Fun but not really competitive, pretty cheap to build and easy to play. Tome made it obscene without jacking the cost up a lot so a lot of people were trying it out. I will not be sad to see it go. They design cards to try and make them work in Standard, and they def overpowered this one to try and make up for lack of support.

All that said, Tome was a lot of fun to play with while it lasted.

It enabled a lot of the most obscene Warlock stuff in general - and my god, can you imagine what Warlock would be like if stealer of souls got unbanned with the Tome tampering combo as well?

Discover is probably the most interesting and digital-exclusive mechanic in the game and I really, really wouldn't want to see it go. It's got a unique interaction with new classes though, because when they're released, there are no filler cards so your discover pool is always strong.

PS: The best keyword is definitely Dredge.

Give it an expansion cycle and DK discover won't be nearly as oppressive.

(Also, discover is actually weak in Wild for the same reason - SO MUCH GARBAGE.)

What format are you playing? There are only three good formats. I will rank them for you so as to keep this easy:

1) Casual Wild (it's a dumb loving game play to have fun)
2) Battlegrounds (it's fun and why not? good if you don't want to think)
3) Legend Wild (annoying to get to, but basically Casual Wild on steroids)

If you are bored come hang with the Casual Wild people. The playerbase is tiny but friendly as gently caress. No one is worrying about wins or losses. Build dumb fun poo poo, play it, slam the "add friend" button, etc. The game is a lot better when you toss winning and losing out the window and just play to have fun with friends. Being able to trash talk, share deck lists, swap advice, etc.? It makes it so much better.

Disclaimer on no.3 there - it's not merely annoying, it's like driving nails into your dick against an endless parade of secret mage, pirate rogue and even shaman

On the plus side though once you get there you might get to play Dane, and honestly, sometimes you feel like playing badly just to see what magnificent poo poo he pulls off
