i think it's also part of Microsoft's periodic attempts to broaden the "XBOX" brand to be more their gaming platform (including Windows) as a whole which wasn't the case for the Wii

i think it's better to not emphasize this so when it does happen it's a cool moment for people to compare their playthroughs otherwise everyone gets insanely angry about two dialogue options being the same thing said differently or something

Porting games sounds like a nightmare, much less the differences in having to develop around multiple potential hardware specs vs just one or two. Exclusives are the reason to actually get a console though I get people hating the ones where it's just "we bought a studio". I think the problem is when there's like literally just one exclusive you want and can't justify a purchase over it. Like there are literally two PS5 exclusives (out of 5) that I have any interest in, ff7 remake 2, and FF16 and that ain't worth 500 smackers
