A lot of stuff people get in fights about in games would be fixed by just making it a toggle imo. I think it's better to respond to people as if they mean what they say, and then the worst that happens is you miss a joke. Accusing someone who's trying to have a sincere conversation of being a troll is unkind.

Silly game 'Roundabout' has a lot of youtuber and ex-SA people doing all the voice acting. It works because the performances are kinda bad on purpose - that's usually bullshit I know, but in Roundabout it's true. They're going for something specific.
