The Trump casinos had reported losing money and paid a little more than $600,000 in state income taxes in 2002, and only $1,500 in 2003. State auditors determined that the Trump casinos should have paid $8.8 million in alternative minimum taxes for those two years, according to court records. Trump Casino paid $1,500 in taxes for all of 2003

A bunch of total backwater nations managed to implement single-payer, you can't seriously claim it's impossible in the vaunted US of A etc etc. Everything comes down to this quarter's numbers. More stuff from that casino articlequote:Mr. Trump and Mr. Christie met in 2002, when Mr. Christie was the United States attorney for New Jersey. Mr. Trump’s sister Maryanne Trump Barry, then a federal judge in the state, had mentioned to Mr. Christie that her famous brother would like to meet him. They struck up a friendship. Mr. Christie was invited to Mr. Trump’s third wedding in 2005, and Mr. Trump was a prominent guest at Mr. Christie’s inauguration in 2010. They have double dated with their wives. quote:The company filed an administrative protest with the state, but it was rejected. The company’s lawyers continued to fight the state’s claim in bankruptcy court, arguing that the tax was unconstitutional and that it should not apply to the Trump casinos because they were organized as partnerships. quote:In February 2007, Heather Lynn Anderson, a deputy attorney general who specializes in tax cases, filed papers in court saying auditors had discovered discrepancies that raised “numerous additional questions regarding the accuracy” of the Trump casinos’ tax returns. The company had reported lower revenue figures on its tax returns, for example, than on filings with the State Casino Control Commission. Ms. Anderson also wrote that Mr. Trump’s flagship casino, the Taj Mahal, had reported to the casino commission that it paid $2.2 million in alternative minimum assessment tax in 2003, which was not true. The company had paid only $500 in income taxes.

You know, I have to say Obama has been terrible for black white relations. These black commentators and journalists aren't even letting white Trump supporters explain to them how stupid they've been. Never would have happened when Trump was a kid.

CNN is killing the Trump Supporters on the speech. Take seems to be the reach out to African American's was laughable at best, and damaging at worst. The most effective counter from lewendowsky is that his own employer is being unfair.

Ana Navarro, like David Gergen, is someone who I've come to respect much more during this cycle. She just gave one of the most amazing ~25 second shutdowns on the Trump speech in the face of Kayleigh McEnany. I can't really paraphrase it because I've been drinking, but it was enjoyable.

Trump doesn't have any psychoses that are diagnosable by watching him on tv and any doctor who would claim otherwise would be a quack. Any conditions he has would only be able to be diagnosed in person by a professional with an extended interview/examination.

The Glumslinger posted:Really packing in the thousands of silent majority voters there A lot of that probably has to do with the fact he's speaking in West Bend, not Milwaukee proper. Let's learn a little about West Bend quote:The racial makeup of the city was 94.8% White, 1.0% African American, 0.4% Native American, 0.8% Asian, 1.4% from other races, and 1.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.9% of the population. Well ok. Pretty white, but whatever. Wait, what's this quote:In 2009, a controversy arose after a local couple complained to the West Bend Community Memorial Library about the presence of "sexually explicit books" and "books for youth on homosexuality" in the young adult section of the library. A petition called on the library to label the identified books as explicit, move them to the adult section of the library, install Internet content filters on the library's computers, and "adopt a policy to attain balance in the viewpoints of selections (both affirming and opposing) that the libraries carry in issues sufficiently controversial within the West Bend community (i.e. homosexuality). Specifically, we request faith-based and/or ex-gay books affirming traditional heterosexual perspectives be added to the library." Well that explains a lot.
