I've been using the weapon animation replacer, and I wanted to swap the stances, would it be safe to just extract the new one on top of the old, replacing everything that conflicts, or should I track down the individual files from the old version and delete those?

fuckpot posted:I was wondering if someone could quickly recommend me a mod that increases the amount of enemy spawns while wandering the wasteland. I have just started playing this game again and have found enemy encounters to be a bit sparse. I don't want to be overwhelmed or anything, just enough to keep my high level characters busy. Increased Wasteland Spawns, in the op. Can someone edit the thread title to mention looking in the OP for recomended mods, I think it's great that a bunch of people bought the game during the Steam sale, but there's been a ton of "recomend me some good mods" requests lately and Cream-of-Plenty has done a great job keeping the OP updated.

Happy Noodle Boy posted:Yeah it just caught me off guard. I need to re-do my load order (and restart yet again) with this in mind and maybe focus on melee for a little while and stick to only the varmint rifle until I find a better gun to choose as my signature weapon. Or maybe make the varmint the signature for a while. This should work for load order so everything plays nicely while having JSawyer as the main mod (aka last to load, right?) I remember reading in this thread about fear the reaper being bugged so it didn't work. Was that fixed in CCO?

You'll have to look through the mod file likely, check any documentation that came with the mod, most stuff I've used listed ID numbers for traits and perks added. If it's written down the first 2 digits are XX, which you replace with the mods load order in hex, I know FOMM lists those numbers next to the mod names on the checklist.

The currently existing train method "breaks immersion" you see. According to google, that's a mere 32 days non-stop, if it was scaled so you could walk that far in in the same number of in game days, that's just be what, 60 hours? (I can't remember how long a day is, about 2 hours I want to say?)

Because I know for other codes, the first two digits of the console id have to do with load order, so all the basic codes start with 00, because the main game should always be first.

I recall there being some decent animation mods, and there's a poo poo ton of mods that change how damage scales, so mix and matching between the two should give you something workable.

That page lists a lot of individual mods, is the order they are listed the recommended load order? Load order only matters between mods that change similar things. If you have a mod that only changes textures and a mod that changed game play significantly but doesn't affect textures at all it makes zero difference whatsoever the order they're loaded.

It just means you need every single DLC, but that also means all the different pre-order edition DLC's which are currently sold in one 99 cent package called "The Courier's Stash," not just the story DLC

It would be simpler to have a "switch firing mode" hotkey that removes the bullet version of the rifle, gives you a grenade launching on and vice versa. There are already mods with a hotkey for throwing grenades. I know it's part of Project Nevada, but I think there are standalone versions as well.

Fair Bear Maiden posted:So, apparently the Tales of Two Wastelands guys are considering re-implementing the Big Guns skill by default into the mod. That seems like a bad decision to me, but the rationale seems to be that there are enough weapons to be covered by the skill between the two games and that more skills = more builds = more roleplaying, plus the skill was in Fallout 3. I liked Ropekid's idea of getting rid of the energy weapon skill and just making the top tier weapons in each other skill an energy weapon.

Just shoot the guy and dump his body outside of town where it won't drink the place up. I haven't played Living Wasteland, but I understand being annoyed about the hanging stuff. You just flat out don't install the mods that have the phrase "cum dumpster" in them, so it's easy to laugh at them, but a mod you generally like and think is lore friendly having a couple things things that rub you wrong way is a lot more bothersome. It's people on twitter dropping the n-bomb versus people here making an oblique reference to "those people."

Signature Armor which I believe was created by a goon, allows you to upgrade the armor as you wear it longer, so you don't instantly break the difficulty curve. Invisible armored vests just a little add-on that let's you equip invisible armor in addition to whatever ever you're wearing, can instantly break the difficulty curve if you want.
