My friend who's a game dev has a dream of making a fighting game that the fighting game community will not be able to enjoy, but others will. Godspeed, brave soldier.

Apologies if this has been covered in the last thread, but does Lobo come with any alt costumes?

Quick and easy question:

If I loved the poo poo out of Mortal Kombat, will I love the poo poo out of this? Is the netcode any better (on PS3)? I didn't have a lot of netcode problems with MK9 but it was still pretty bad when nobody was online but people in Brazil or whatever.

If Ambush Bug ever gets added, I will buy two copies.

I loved MK9 too, and I quite like this game. It's got a lot of minute differences to get past, and it's weird to not have horrible bloody fatalities anymore, but it has much of the same feel. The characters feel more distinct and rounded out, thanks in part to the awesome character power gimmick.

The story mode isn't nearly as good, and the equivalent of the challenge tower is outright awful, but eh.

I just noticed you can hold down R to rev up the motorcycle without ramming the other player in Wayne Manor, I spent a solid 40 seconds just revving it up while my friend looked at me like I was an idiot. This game owns.

I'd really love for Joker to have a classic Red Hood skin, it's a really classy golden age villain look compared to Jason Todd's forced Vigilante shtick.

And while I'm pipe-dreaming, they could also change his weapon animations and voice acting to make him sound more like a gentleman thief and less like Joker. :allears:

Tier lists are one of the many poisons the fighting game community at large likes to gorge itself on. I'm just glad this game's well-made enough that the power gap is obviously unintended and might even be patched out.

So I picked up a really hilarious way to gently caress with people who hide their character select cursor on reddit. Once you get to the stage select screen back out real quick and start moving from character to character. They'll move from their character thinking they were picking a stage and wont be able to hear the clicks as they move from one character to another. Kind of a dick move but I had a guy quit on me as a result so I'm calling it a success.

You know you get a loss for quits, right?

Also you're an rear end in a top hat.

SCORPION

Time to explain Scorpion to people who... don't... know comics? Well, this is awkward.

I should point out that it's implied in MK9 that the reason he never broke ranks with Quan Chi is partly because of the shame he felt at not being able to stay his hand (despite Raiden promising to petition the Elder Gods to resurrect his clan if he spared Sub-Zero) made him want to hide from the world, and partly due to the Lin Kuei cyborgs interrupting his match with Sub-Zero 2 just before what would likely have been the moment Scorpion realizes Sub Zero 2 is a good kid.

Unlike Injustice, MK9's story mode has a lot of clever character moments like that.

E: Whoops, double post.

Death of Superman (I think?) Doomsday

Yep, that's how Doomsday looked when we got our first look at him as he escaped his ancient space prison. At first we had no real idea what manner of being he was other than he could punch a hole in a metal wall, and then this happened:

:allears: Comic Books.

E: By the way, that weird wiring you see keeps Doomsday's right arm bound, and doesn't break off until much later. So he defeats the entire Justice League (minus Superman) with one arm tied behind his back.
