Ito's style depends a lot on body horror, so if that doesn't scare you then it may fall a little flat, but I'll say that Uzumaki gets Lovecraftian horror right in a way that even HP himself rarely did.

OK, Team Medical Dragon is totally rad. I read the first volume last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have no idea how accurate it is in regard to the Japanese medical system, but it's good fun either way.
If I understand correctly one of authors died partway through the series, and there does seem to be less of a focus on the specifics of medical techniques and the structure of medical practice in Japan as time goes on.

I literally cannot even comprehend how it could possibly get aired. Prison School is already borderline porn, and while it is hilarious in its self-seriousness, it is going to get censored to poo poo if they even try to put it on TV at all.

Maybe if they used a Cromartie style of animation for it...
It will air for general broadcast with half the screen taken up by bars of white light and/or steam, with the AT-X and BD versions uncensored and selling like hotcakes on the day the Zimbabwe dollar stabilizes.

Really enjoying this so far. Thanks. The later posts about its translation worry me, though. I've got way too many series on the go that have sketchy translation futures. Might shelf Soil before I get too into the story.
Unfortunately it's been stalled for over a year with three volumes left to go.

I don't see why he would lose the existing publishing contracts unless there's a moral turpitude clause, which I kinda doubt. The bigger issue is whether he can get future contracts, but that's unlikely to be too much of a problem; it's not like the entertainment industry won't hire talent with scandal or criminal records in their history, and people will find new things to get outraged over soon enough that this will end up a footnote.

If NHK has exclusive rights to air future seasons of the anime but refuses to do so or relinquish those rights, I think that might be a sign that someone at NHK has it out for Mamare, but we won't be able to see that for a while.

One thing that always confused me is why ex-baseball drum guy was ostracized after joining the band. In what world does an otherwise normal/good looking guy joining a rock band in high school make him unpopular?
I'd guess because the baseball team is a Big Deal at the school and he just "betrayed" his teammates and the school in general by prioritizing his own interests over those of the group. Time spent on music is time not spent prepping for Koushien.

Shield Hero is pretty much power fantasy for incels. All attractive women are manipulative, lying bitches, all attractive men are callous and cruel chads and the only females you can trust are your pure, underage, fanatically loyal slaves. Its truly something "special".

FWIW, it does course-correct on this later. The queen comes back, goes "wtf are you people doing," re-takes control from the king, banishes the villain woman, and hasn't done anything villainous herself or offered herself to the protag. The spear hero gets his own spinoff where he gets a chance to change history and is just a weirdo rather than a villain.

I still wouldn't call it particularly good, but I have a low quality threshold for what isekai I can flip through the chapters of in ~ a minute.

What about an isekai where someone wakes up in fantasy land as their overpowered endgame MMO character, sees some slavery, and basically goes "okay I'm still a bit lost but what I'm looking at right now appears to be a very solvable problem."

It's not waking up as an overpowered endgame character, but there is the one where dude wakes up as an overpowered endgame sentient weapon and helps a slave solve the issue of her slavers.
