I'm glad to see that the general rule of "If a headline asks a question, the answer is always 'no'" goes for websites whose URLs ask questions, too.

Did you do this during a lightning storm, and when you got it to work, shout "It's alive! IT'S ALIVE! AHAHAHA!"?

Also, who will be the lucky recipient of the Frankenlaptop?

Come on really.
Is it wrong that I looked at it and went, "At least the priority and urgency are correct :unsmith:"?

I haven't heard anyone mention Xpilot in years. I used to play that all the time. Shame it's dead now.

You should have taken him at his word and set out some road flares.

I can't jump to a specific page. That seems like a necessary feature that it's missing.

I am a chemical engineer by profession. Last week I encountered a programmable Perkin-Elmer UV-Vis spectrophotometer from the mid-nineties that uses the perfectly named programming language OBEY.

Frankly, that's has to be the only thing every engineer wants of their programs: To OBEY.

OBEY!

OBEY!!

Please tell me OBEY is a tortured acronym for something.

I have the opposite problem. My email is FirstMLast@gmail. The problem is my middle name and last name both start with H. So I write it down or tell someone and they leave out the second H. So some other guy out there with my name gets some of my emails. So now I just have to say "two H's."

Tell them it's First.M.Last@gmail. Gmail ignores dots in its e-mail addresses entirely.

"I know we put the me getting a new laptop on hold but I will need it sooner than later."

That is a real sentence written by the holder of a J.D. and an M.P.A. Also, I don't supply laptops, and the reason she wants a new one is that she somehow managed to hurt herself carrying a laptop through an airport because "It is entirely too heavy."

I don't even dislike this user, or most of my users. She's very nice. I just find them... puzzling.

It's a lot more clear with more punctuation.

"I know we put the 'me getting a new laptop' on hold, but I will need it sooner than later."
