Well they aren't trying to be realistic, they are trying to be funny. I think that gives some good defence from bleed in. Like, instead of trying to inhabit the character and think like them, they try to put them in funny situations. Remember, humor protects you from poo poo, not the other way around.

This was a very good episode. Again. It's almost like... like these season 14 episodes are as good as the ones from hallowed, preciousss seasons 2-6. Maybe... maybe we can shake this curse of The Downhill and comparing episodes because that feeling, the need to remember the good old ones, is not needed...? Maybe.

There are a lot of places in the game that doesn't give you anything but pretty colours and chillax. You don't necessarily need to go anywhere but the pretty and safe places unless you want cooler stuff. There's also creative/sandbox? game modes that make you invulnerable etc to chill out even more

Plus on PC you could just mod out anything you didn't need, like the terror-monstrums of the dark depths of the bottomless oceans :sax:

E. "Cooler stuff" includes things like power armour that let's you deal with scary stuff by punching them in the face, which is therapeutic to some

Harmon's major personal malfunction is that he's had to learn the "imagine if that was you" part of empathy as an old adult.
To his credit he's done a good job of it though, considering what he had to work with and where he started from. Ie what a full patent rear end in a top hat he was. Credit is for the soulsearching and wanting to change after the consequences bit him back that specific time. There's so many others like him, of his generation and his culture, who never will.

What a strange journey Harmontown was, wasn't it? It makes sense in hindsight, a desperately tired psychologist-friend's ruse to forcefully socialise Dan Harmon - by encouraging every self-obsessed humans dream of getting an audience as they talk about themselves. And we were the gullible idiots who stumbled into being the audience, true. But the weirdest part wasn't all the neverending weirdness or how long it got,
but that it was mostly fun

I'd say same, Luther don't do anything different that time he just goes "mac's doing something weird again and every time that happens it ends extremely badly for me". We've discussed this how many times? Luther is like the one character in the show that learns from experience after interacting with the gang. He's reserved in every plot line until the crescendo, whenever a scheme gets some real momentum, and then he peaces out hard - which is bad for the gangs plan but good for everyone else. Can't fault him for not understanding where mac was going with it.
If it was the waitress walking out of nightman would that make her bad? How? Wtf, why?

And if this is about the dance, buddy let me hurt you: I don't get it either. At all. I'm watching Rob being a little athletic on a stage. I'm having the same reaction as if I was watching a tumble dryer. Is there words your interpretation of movement is supposed to give me? If there are they're lost in translation, getting stuck on the cultural shock of American dance to Northern European barbarism maybe. It's all just random strutting to me.
Whatever that is supposed to be it really looks like the real motivation is middleaged Rob's lust for public ego-masturbation again

E. With the dance not communicating anything, it only looks like Rob suddenly wanting to show-off in his comedy show and it's so god damned strange
