Here's a question really none of us can answer, since we're all in the know, but I will ask it anyways. In the first Cap movie, was his character significant enough that people will even remember who he is? To me, the movie just didn't sell him hard enough that the general populace would even think twice about him dying/not dying.

Solaris Knight posted:I was a huge fan of Raimi Goblin when it came out, and to this day, I don't really get the Power Rangers jokes, I think it looked just intimidating enough to work, but not clash with the other design styles of the film. You can like it or not like it, but how do you not get the Power Rangers jokes/references?

Medium Cool posted:I watched the original power rangers a lot as a kid and honestly I don't get it either. It's not just the cheap plastic suit, it's using the costume to emote when you talk. Also like someone else said, when Willem Defoe was talking you could clearly see inside the mouth portion and the person in the suit wasn't talking. It's a total Power Rangers subtext, intentional or not.

It looks like they also made him taller, but yeah this is acceptable. The other one just looks weird and awkward.

Aphrodite posted:I assume when they say Old Man Logan what they really mean is some kind of post Apocalypse vaguely-Western where Wolverine is a pacifist through most of it so they make a scene where he flips the gently caress out for like 20 minutes. So Unforgiven but with Wolverine. This could be the best or the worst.

I wish they would've showed Piotr without being armored up. I know the whole character was CGI, but still bummed me out.

That's what Execs do is take something successful and run it into the ground/exploit it. I'm just as worried about them horning in on production of the sequel.

Am I a giant nerd for being unsettled by Alex being older than Scott, and Warren not losing his wings before being approached by Apocalypse? (I already know I am) Also, it showed Ororo with Brown hair, which looks to get turned white and mohawky. Is this suggesting the process Apocalypse puts them through whitens her hair like Rogues was whitened by stress at the end of X1? If so... was she an unknown Apocalypse flunky before the original X-men movie where she had white hair? It just doesn't sit well with me. Aphrodite posted:Rogue gets the white stripe during X-Men 1. Hence why I said "like Rogue" Grendels Dad posted:Days of the Future past altered the timeline and I guess Magneto exposing mutants publicly is what draws out Apocalypse in this movie. He gets a hold of Storm before she ever joins Xavier. No, I get all that. I'm saying that Ororo (anytime portrayed by Halle Berry) had white hair. Yet Apocalypse approaches young Storm in this movie and she has brown hair, then is later shown as a horseman with white hair. So the original non-apocalypse timeline she had white hair. I just wonder if they are going to make it so when her powers first develop she gets the white hair. Was just something that piqued my curiosity seeing the trailer.

twistedmentat posted:I find it interesting people aren't liking the Fallout Batman dream, as it was one of my favorite parts of the movie. Though I guess if you aren't familiar with New Gods stuff It could come across confusing. I don't think its so much that people hate the scene. Its just that its so out of place and its used as a plot device to bolster Bruce's mistrust of Clark and setup a future movie. Zach is trying to build a universe with many pieces shoved into one movie instead of a few pieces portrayed in a few movies. To his (and the franchise's) detriment in my opinion.

I remember when they first got the green light they basically intimated that it was too late to put him into much of the story. How integral is he to the actual civil war outside of another combatant?
