Bagley certainly isn't an artist I would seek out on my own, but you have to realize that for most of that run they were publishing something like 18 issues a year, and Bagley drew them all without tracing a single porn star.

I bet some of surprise hits might be worth something in the vext few years. Like Hawkguy #1 or Ms Marvel #1. I know the very first issue of Ultimate Spider-Man was worth a good chunk for a while. But as a general rule, if they print half a million copies of it, it won't every be worth more than the cover price.

Well first off, it's the first teaser that's not referring to a previous event, secondly Slott announced it on his twitter as something that seemed to be specifically concerning Spider-Man.

As for the red hair? I think the implication is it's the daughter they would have had if not for the pact with Mephisto that he chose to manifest as.

I know it probably won't end well...but I want to believe.

Age of Ultron vs. Marvel Zombies wasn't a previous event either.

I haven't read any MC2, but that's any easy case to make, just start with the idea that Peter Parker was 15 in the 60's, which he was when he was created, then 30-40 years later he's aged in normal time and has a teenage child.

Also is it strange that I really liked how much I hated TV Ultimate Spider-Man? I mean, I really dislike the current cartoon, but somehow the fact that he was also awful in the book and Miles called him out on the cutaways made me happy.

I'm not making any accusations, but before Dan Slott started writing Spider-Man I had 2 cats, and since then one of them was hit by a car. Pretty big coincidence if you ask me.

Valeria Richards is supposed to be about 4, right? And it looks like the one that's running around now was born in 2002, so May would probably be about 6-8 (except for the fact that that would never happen in the main continuity, because it would age Spider-Man too much, so she'd be permanently an infant while other young characters would slowly age, to the point that a teenage Valeria is babysitting her in 2025).

Just picked up issue #42 of The Amazing Spider-Man. The first appearance of Mary Jane Watson. It's not in ridiculously great condition or CGC rated. But definitely suits my standards to put in my collection. If I come across an even better quality one in the future I'll have to do a swap and off this one, but until then I am really excited to have it. Even then, this is easily the best quality I've seen from any of my local comic stores. Managed to get it for a relatively decent price as well even though the guy wouldn't haggle a loving penny. Still worth it.

Nice. As long as you're buying it for your personal collection and not some hypothetical future sale that's a great buy.

Cool. My favorite comic buy was issue 51 of Hellblazer, it was in good condition. I don't think it was a particularly rare or sought after issue, but it (as near as I can tell) contains the first direct reference ever to John Constantine being bisexual. And at the time I got it wasn't in any Hellblazer trade.

The one I can think of, the symbiote absorbs his life essence and he dies as an old man after a couple of weeks. This was before Venom was a thing though.

It's mostly Amazing Spider-Man, going roughly from early 2003 to the Sins Past stuff in 2005, but there are some random issues of other titles in there too, like Spectacular, Ultimate, Peter Parker, Marvel Knights, etc.

I don't really know too much about what was going on with Spider-Man in '03-'05, so what I'm asking is, is there is some noteworthy stuff in there I should be looking for? There are a ton of gaps in the collection, so I'd prefer picking single issues since every storyline that runs more than three issues is probably missing a part or two, but I'd appreciate any help in sorting out this Spidey pile.

If there's any Tangled Web of Spider-Man grab that.

The only good thing to come out of Peter being single again was that one issue of Hickman's FF where he and Johnny Storm are roommates. I would read the gently caress out of a miniseries titled "What if... Spider-Man didn't throw the Human Torch out of his apartment."

Technically, the entire multiverse has died, so if they brought it back now they weren't actually lying (Steve Rodgers and a bunch of other people died who were still around before Secret Wars had died and came back). I would say part of the reason for this was to not eliminate alternate universe poo poo, but try and defocus it, but I thought half the point of Age of Ultron was to cut down on time travel shenanigans, but then it seemed like everyone was doubling down on the time travel poo poo after that, including Hickman.
