My problem with Season 3 is pretty much that it became typical political show (not really a spoiler but ehhh), Frank spent the first two seasons doing evil, manipulative super villain stuff that it was dull to see him dealing with ordinary president issues

precision posted:Flight of the Conchords first 2 or 3 seasons were great, but I seem to remember it went downhill hard at some point. First season is amazing though. Flight of the Conchords season 1 was significantly better than season 2 because it was essentially a "best of" their BBC Radio show that they'd had years to refine. Season 2 took a huge dive because they were rushed to write new episodes and new music, and they quickly became overwhelmed. I listened to an interview with Jemaine a while back and even they didn't want to keep going. He said his agent called when hbo wanted to do season 3 and they asked the agent bit to even tell them how much money was being offered so they wouldn't have any temptation.

I don't think Hot Girls Wanted showed that the girls were being exploited, I think it just showed the reality of being an "amateur" porn star. You have the chance to make a good amount of money in a short amount of time at the cost of your dignity. I can very easily see someone watching that film and thinking it was for them. Going in knowing it's a short term gig makes you less likely to, pun intended, blow everything up front.

It covers an interesting topic of the war that's not usually represented, i.e. not Central Europe/Pacific theater. The occupation of Stalingrad was a bizarre sort of inverse siege. It also has the dirtiest, grossest sex scene ever.

Everything about her was outwardly deceiving, instead of being a young girl she was in fact old as poo poo and not a girl. Whether it was on purpose or not, she was emotionally manipulating this impressionable little kid into becoming her lifelong slave. That's exactly how I saw it...I thought it was pretty obvious that was the direction it was going.

It's good, and it was a nice palate cleanser after watching Jurrasic World the other day, but the whole movie feels like it's missing something. It feels kind of clinical in its cinematic approach, but that might have been intentional. It's a solid indie movie though. I really liked Ex Machina but I think it was designed specifically for people like me in mind I kept trying to figure out what the twist was going to be, who was going to turn out to be the other AI. Then the twist was... No twist. I over analyzed

With Prime you get some great indie movies like Ex Machina really early, you get a ton of great HBO shows, etc. I think we're getting to the point where Netflix's value as a movie streaming service is slipping. Most of the newer stuff is available on Amazon Prime as well. Where it's gaining ground is with original material.

(Mist movie spoilers) I went in being a huge fan of the book and had no idea the ending changed. I told my friend that is was a depressing ending. And it was so much better. I do agree it could have been made a bit better with a little more spacing, but that also made it so over the top I couldn't stop laughing as everyone in the theater was in shock. Anyway, I doubt it's on Netflix, but if it is, watch the black and white version of The Mist. Gives it more of a traditional horror feel.
