What if it's a firebug rocket?

The basic rocket is the RPO-A, which has a thermobaric warhead and is designed for attacking soft targets under moderate cover. The RPO-Z is the incendiary warhead (Rus. зажигательный / Zazhigatel'nyy, or "Incendiary") designed to spread fire and ignite targets.

Same damage per pellet, but the Hunting Shotgun fires 12 pellets/shot while the 1014 only does 7 pellets/shot. The only thing the 1014 is a strict upgrade from is the pump action. That said the thing I enjoy the most about the 1014 is the tight spread which is really noticeable when you're firing at a group of zeds not right next to you compared to the Hunting Shotgun.

For a hunting shotgun, it's got a hell of a spread. The barrels ought to be choked somewhat to tighten the grouping.

But that's just me being a dork.

Right. For some reason stuffing each shell into the tube on the combat shotgun is slower than reloading the stock shotgun. Painfully slow, even.

An LMG would make a nice 4th-tier weapon. An M249 could have a large magazine and insane rate of fire but would probably be "balanced" with low damage per round. Maybe an M240B? Nasty kick but it would make Hans jealous. The price would need to be in the $3000 range though since it would trivialize most waves below late Suicidal.

I kinda want to see this just for the first-person animations, and what qualifies as a tactical reload on a belt-fed. Sorry in advance if Tripwire animators are reading this thread.

As much as I love them, 240s are gently caress off massive.

Instead, add a Mk48. Because hell yes belt fed 7.62 in a small package :getin:

Make the M4 a Demolitions or Firebug weapon, with it using either dragons breath or Frag rounds. For the Support, replace with A Saiga 12, an 8 round magazine fed semiauto, so it has a pretty drat fast reload. Up the damage compared to the AA12 and it might be competitive - less ammo, but more damage, and much faster reload time.

Swapping guns to perks this soon seems silly, but yes a Saiga or even a VEPR-12 would be great.

I'm not sure the magazine capacity is what is wrong with the M4 so much as it is the reload speed, and a higher mag cap would exacerbate this due to how the gun is loaded. Also the current animation speeded up would look weird.

If they are into the possibility of dicking around with it though, they could use a shotgun speedloader.

Technically speaking the capacity is too low considering it has a full capacity mag tube but I'm not going to expect that attention of gun detail in a game like this.

But yes, one of those speedloader sticks would be loving cool.
