k st vs miss st is a super interesting game this coming weekend, both are hard to judge early.

I feel like a lot of the big12 is really difficult to judge right now, kansas is real bad, west virginia is bad, oklahoma is good, texas and oklahoma st are probably goodish, the rest is mostly ???

Until we get decisive information otherwise I think it’s reasonably safe to assume

1) Oklahoma
[Fairly large gap]
2) Texas
[Fairly small gap]
3-8) A bunch of teams that are roughly equal, and will likely all make bowls
9) West Virginia
10) Kansas

sure thats basically what i said except i think oklahoma state is probably above the pack but its the big12 theres always some random team who punches up every year and gets in the conference title race or at least shits up peoples day. i'm also not as sold on oklahoma yet but whatever. either way im curious to see a lot of big12 teams once they start playing real teams

Yeah for sure. For the seven teams between OU and West Virginia, I don’t think anyone at home should be more than a touchdown underdog to anyone else

Let's see what happens once California passes that bill requiring college players to be compensated for their names and likenesses. That would certainly shake up the equation

There’s not going to be any scenario where California schools have that advantage over everyone else for more than a year or two. Something will give one way or another.

I think the NCAA will get their way one way or another. Their opposition to bathroom bills a few years back was just a warm up for this kind of battle.

I can't bear to imagine a world where the rich programs have a gigantic advantage over the less rich programs and only about 15 programs have a chance at ever winning a championship.

Cam Newton was arguably the most valuable player in college football history and cost $200,000, so you can basically set the market from that.

So apparently the UNC-Wake Forest game this weekend is an OOC game between members of the same conference?

Wow, good find. Apparently they just want to play each other more than once per six years. They have another one scheduled for 2021. They last met in 2015 and don't play each other again in conference play until 2022.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2015/01/26/acc-wake-forest-north-carolina-non-conference-game/22347863/

Last time I remember this happening is when UCLA and Colorado already had a non-conference game scheduled when CU joined the Pac-12. I'm probably forgetting another since then.

Has anyone ever attempted to make a scorigami chart for college football? If you include all levels of the NCAA dating back to the 19th century, I'd bet everything to 60-60 is blacked out except the 1 point row and probably a sizable portion of the 4 point row.
