there were some books and stuff in japan in the 90s that were novelizations of tabletop game campaigns. some were a little successful, i think? not really seen a lot of info about it in english honestly. but yea that kinda stuff is fun while you are doing it and there but probably would be garbo to anyone outside the game

When I was a Spider-Man reading kid I appreciated that he was a poor student most of the time, but was also cool with him having a wife to come home to. Dude did a lot of work in the 90s marvel universe he should have some personal life too. I hear all this stuff over the years about writers hyper dedicated to loving up his marriage and just don't get it at all. I guess they read Gwen issues as a kid or something. I seem to recall one issue where he got a new place with a skylight and is all hell yeah i can crawl in and out of that and starts fantasizing about a custom Spider-Van but realizes he can't afford it. A hero of the people.

as a youth i had a minor existential crisis about santa. i didn't believe per se but i could tell i was getting conflicting information and wasn't sure who or what i could believe about it. i was already often staying up late so i basically started the personal tradition of "gently caress it i'll stay up all night xmas eve and find out for myself what's up" i don't think i thought santa was bringing all my presents or anything, obviously it was family, but like i had to test the data to know for sure i guess??
