ever since that GIF i made a few days ago, i started working on a web app that could animate historical data from CovidActNow's dataset it's really barebones right now, just a map and a date, but i can animate basically any field on this documentation page here's a recording of cases per 100k (7 day average). placeholder colors, but red = 100 cases / 100k https://i.imgur.com/hNYIUaU.mp4 not sure what's up with nebraska

went through and tidied up the spreadsheet a bit (deleted blank columns, added headers and a date column to the school outbreaks tab if anyone feels like going through and pulling that info out of the links) also added a tab for tweet threads and added that AAP PDF about children to the studies tab

hey folks, i've finally gotten around to putting up the animated map on a hosting service: https://anirona-wv5rtswotq-uw.a.run.app/ https://i.imgur.com/Q8RYoci.mp4 currently working on getting the data to update per day automatically. after that's done, i have a few things in mind (taking ideas): - slider for the date - start and end date for the animation - toggleable repeat button trying to come up with a better domain / name for it too
