I know people were already gushing about Prime Remaster, but Jesus Christ this is the best looking Switch game I've ever played and it's not even close. It's actually blowing me away, in a way that reminds me of what I felt playing it on the Gamecube back in the day.

Apparently the Prime 1 Remaster wasn't just Retro, but co-devolved by Iron Galaxy Studios, whoever the hell they are. Makes me wonder if Nintendo does want to do Echoes and Corruption Remasters, if they will take the lead on them because I can't imagine Retro still working on remasters and Prime 4 at the same time.

Metroid Prime had a level of detail and atmosphere completely unheard of in 2002 standards. Hell, thinking about it and you would be hard pressed to find a modern shooter that could match Prime today in those categories.

To be honest, if Peach was the damsel it would have made no sense for Mario to be concerned about saving her, considering the main plot of this movie is them just arriving in Mushroom Kingdom and having no clue what's going on at all. Luigi being the one to save made the emotional connection much more obvious. This makes me wonder if the inevitable sequel will have Bowser actually getting Peach right away, which could (hopefully) lead to the Bros. teaming up to save her because the best parts of the movie by far were the few times they actually were on screen together.

There’s these stone pillars that I like to call “reverse tower” that stick out of the ceiling, if you use ascend on them it plops you back onto ground level, usually close to a shrine or something else of note.
