around here, ted lerner (washington nationals owner) hit the jackpot in the 60's when he decided to build a mall at the intersection of the capital beltway and two major state roads

now the area around it is one of the 15 biggest business districts in america, and has the headquarters of such companies as hilton and capital one

i'll say it was at it's best in the first season or so before they really started taking a turn

also the episode with elon was hilarious, but it had nothing to do with elon, who was the complete opposite of hilarious

Revivials/reboots/rehashes have always been around and always will be. Like, since the early 90s were mentioned, there were a bunch of movies and shows then that were based on stuff from the 60s (The Untouchables and The Fugitive probably being the two best known examples).

the untouchables movie was made in the 80s

that said, there was a lot of 60s nostalgia in the 80s

Something very unusual happening at Mt Washington in New Hampshire. The polar vortex going over them is so strong, it has dragged the top of the troposphere - the first layer of the atmosphere where all the weather is - below the observatory on the top of the mountain. The air is still breathable, but if you went outside you’d be exposed to basically the jet stream.

so many syndicated shows are dying out

something i've noticed is that we're on our way for daytime schedules to be nothing but news-type programming, like fox here in dc is mostly local programming during the day
