Bairo and Kismitete's son Hiiro is saved by Giiru, and Hiiro swears to avenge his parents' deaths and trains himself with the sword. When Hiiro turns 16, he sets out on a journey to slay the dragon, and Giruu accompanies him, having no choice. Along the way, they meet many types of people, and gain companions on their journey.

A lot of the Cutey Honey shows are their own thing I think, one of those classic shows that gets a reboot every so often like Astro Boy or Cyborg 009.

Everything Burrito posted:it's not like the original Hellsing was totally awful either, it had some kickass music and despite going off the rails once it departed from the manga it was a fun watch. I haven't seen it since it aired so I can't speak to how well it's aged and it's definitely suffered in comparison to Hellsing Ultimate but at the time it was perfectly enjoyable. Yah
