All the new MOTU stuff is great.....apart from that godawful head sculpt for He-Man.
No idea why they couldn't just use the O.G version.

Thanks, had not seen that.

I'd seen one of the Comic-Con type releases had an alt head, but figured that was a one-off.

Hasbro Pulse US $42

Hasbro Pulse UK £49.99 ( $71 )

They can get hosed.

This may have been mentioned, but for those in the UK, He-Man and Skeletor MOTU Origins figures with the "classic" head design (and new swords) are being released around the 8th July.

Looks great, but Hasbro have decided to charge £34 ($47) for those in the UK.
Sod that.

I'm astounded that three hours later, and all the new GI Joes are still available on Hasbro Pulse UK.

In fact, I think the only Pulse Con fig announced that has sold out is the skeevy-looking "Trapper Wolf" X-Wing pilot.

Hasbro sell a "dead" Optimus Prime, so I'm only surprised he doesn't come with the chair he died in.

All that polystyrene packaging is pretty obnoxious.

I know it's for a totally non-essential big chunk of plastic, but something vaguely recyclable would be nice to see.

Star Wars The Black Series Boba Fett (In Disguise) is up on Hasbro Pulse UK.

It doesn't show up when you do an ordinary search, but here's the link;

https://uk.hasbropulse.com/collections/sdcc2022/products/star-wars-the-black-series-boba-fett-in-disguise

It added to my cart OK, but I don't want it, so didn't complete the purchase - so it still might not go though if you try.

Am hoping Dr Mindbender will be up on the main Hasbro Pulse UK SDCC page later:

[edit - ah, can see someone already mentioned AE]

I bought a Cobra Viper from a seller on there, which is on its way to me, so fingers crossed it's not a knock off...

My Venger and Dungeon Master turned up today from Hasbro.

Not hugely impressed with the quality of the figures, especially given the £54 price tag.

Very little posability on either figure, with Venger's plastic skirt & shoulder moulding and DM having no legs.

Highly recommend a short soak in some boiling water to get the joints moving, or Venger will have his head permanently sunk into his chest.

Hasbro's new GI Joe "ladder pricing" has some funky maths going on.

A single "basic" fig is £25, but the double pack of Valkyries is £56?

Double packs should be cheaper, or maybe the same price if there are some extras thrown in, but £6 more for a few extra blast effects is a piss take.

It prices out better than the viper three pack which was $90, making that original set of blast effects $15 if the three vipers were $25 each.

True - that Viper 3-pack is one I "boycotted" over the price.
Just wish they'd re-issue the 1st release Cobra Viper, as I don't want to pay secondary market prices.

This answers the "So how the hell are we going to sell a Marcus figure?" question.

I am pre-ordering all of these anyway, already prepared to live with seeing them on clearance.

Oh, and Hasbro are already going to be selling the same Indy with the Idol scene. FFS.

Mattel’s crowdfunded Jurassic Park Gates campaign isn’t doing so great.

Also $250 in the US or £300 in the UK?! (That’s $393!)

Yeah, some companies (and even ranges/lines within the same company) take an awful line on the USD - GBP conversion.

Once you consider US prices exclude sales tax and UK prices include VAT, plus UK smaller market, etc., a straight $1 -> £1 should be the upper limit.

Hasbro are inconsistent in this - often Transformers are "about right" and GI Joe are "take the piss".
