Any good folk metal recommendations? I prefer to listen to female fronted folk metal but I'm fine with either as long as it's good. :v:

I mainly listen to Arkona, if that helps any.

Devin Townsend was excellent at last night's show, but then his gigs always are. Fear Factory were utterly horrific though. Burton's voice has gone, and during 'Linchpin' there was a collective sense of "We...we are hearing this, right? It's not just me?" at just how far he's fallen.

Then Dino took the mic and introduced one of the songs off Demanufacture by saying that it was an album that was a classic, "right up there with Reign in Blood by Slayer". The D in Dino clearly stands for delusional. (plus, we all know Hell Awaits is better)

Because they're more likely to judge it on its merits, rather than comparing it to the band they used to be / think they should still be? (cf every new Enslaved album)

I listened to a bunch of Guns N Roses, who were of course cool to a ten year old because they said gently caress a lot. Then we got MTV, I watched Beavis & Butthead and discovered White Zombie. My cousin lent me her copy of Chaos AD and everything just kinda spiralled from there.
