So I poke into the thread for a good laugh at people having terrible ideas and I see a KS for a new Ultima game. With this, Torment, Wasteland, and Shadowrun, suddenly I don't know if I'm actually dead and in some kind of magical heaven where fairies float around granting wishes for sequels and updates to the games and franchises I love, or if this is some hell where all the fairies are secretly monkey paws and everything I love will turn into complete poo poo.

That pseudo-pony dating sim thing flat-out gives a budget projection that I am assuming would be the absolute minimum they could pay and make the game for 60 grand, yet it's flexible funding and people are actually giving them money? I'm not sure I recall seeing anything /quite/ as stupid.

While Shadow of the Eternals was mentioned before a number of pages back (they cancelled because yeah they ain't getting 1.35m), it appears that Dyack isn't going to let this dead horse lie. So now we have Shadow of the Eternals... redux. Now with less pedophiles, who apparently had a salary of $600,000? Either that or they made that much from their own crowdfunding attempt on their site. (I kind of doubt this, however.)

I think it's time to check the 'recently launched' section  Blood Child. Okay, another lovely vampire romance. I guess if Twilight can do it... eugh. Love the promotional selfie there, though. Totally professional. A War of Kings. More playing cards, with a fantasy theme this time. They look kinda neat, I suppose. I'm pretty sure it's been done before, but the guy has at least some sort of plan and ambition for it. Enspira Online. A 'non-violent, kid-safe MMO adventure game for all ages'. They want to make an MMO for 18 grand? He apparently has some experience, but the hardware and bandwidth costs for servers will probably eat that cash quick. Megatokyo. I can't think of anything witty here so basically gently caress that guy. Fred has basically 4 possible outcomes for everything he does: 1: Do a comic page as scheduled. (unlikely) 2: Do a comic page several days late, or just do nothing. 3: 'Dead Piro Day' wherein he posts a lovely half-finished sketch of something vaguely related to the comic and some pity-plea that he is working SO HARD 4: 'Shirt Guy Dom Day' wherein even less effort is put forth and he has a buddy do a rock-stupid stick figure comic that is OMG SO WACKY I used to read it way way back in the day, when he still had Rodney around to tell him to stop doing so much dating sim self insert fantasy poo poo. It was actually pretty tolerable then, and the mediocre art was pretty much head and shoulders above webcomics at the time. He was fairly decent about sticking to something resembling a schedule back then. I stopped reading about the time he basically forced Rodney out and made a bunch of whining blog posts about how he was the victim and everyone should pity him etc etc. I'm still annoyed that he never made good on his bitchfits about shutting down the comic for good if he ever found porn of it.

One would think that when making a new wallet, durability and practicality would be the two highest points on your design docs. Most of what I see there doesn't look like it would stand up to even regular use in a back pocket, or is so lovely it wouldn't be a good idea to put it there. I can see some of these pretty things working as an accessory for a handbag or something at least. When the gently caress did wallets get to be too big and bulky for these people anyway?
