An expansion of the LMD theory I guess. I don't know why people would want him playing lovely, boring Vision when he's a good likable character already.

That's basically the point. They want him to be the Vision instead of getting the tired old "beep-boop-beep begin program exe bone Scarlet Witch" Vision that comes back up every time Vision gets torn in half. They want Coulson with superpowers not Vision

Concerning the ending of Thor 2: Loki likely didn't kill Odin, but locked him up or something. I think we're going to see Loki get bored by ruling Asgard to get him back in action. Although I think that he'll eventually play the role Mephisto played when Marvel does the Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers 3, but wind up on the good side. But I would love to see a Loki movie too.

I've also stopped paying attention to critic reviews since Ebert died. They rarely line up with my own anymore.

I took a certain moment around when Odin gives his speech about fighting to the last drop of asgardian blood, he stops and looks weak for a moment almost like he's falling asleep. I took that to mean he was still fighting off the Odin sleep from the last movie and Loki could have helped it along magically or exhausted Odin into it in a fight. Or maybe long shot here, Odin went into it willingly after Loki explained Thanos and bringing the Avengers together to defend earth, the ruse is for Asgard's benefit because no one else would trust him.

600+Million isn't bad, but not it's good enough. While the idea itself isn't inherently bad we suffered enough blind executive lead reactions to successful movies like "Harry Potter is a success quick find me a little magic child script, any magical child script!" that people are, probably rightfully, skeptical of the forethought involved.

Something I am curious is how Tony will be portrayed in the film. IM3 suggested he would give it up, but I cannot see him giving up being a superhero, its perfect for his ego, even his reduced at the end of the movie. Might be a getting the band back together thing where Tony realizes that he's needed and comes back.

I never got a retirement or "I'm out of the game" vibe from Iron Man 3. He blew up the armor's he'd compulsively made to cope with New York and had the shrapnel removed which was a link to guilt driving his heroism giving himself a clean slate where he can be a hero that's not driven by a mix guilt and ego.

My only problem with this is my pet theory on what they'd do with Mandarin is have Trevor come back and re-assume the role, perhaps with the suggestion that he'd been the real mastermind all along playing the other guys for chumps.

Though I guess this doesn't entirely remove that, and it'd be kind of funny for him to accidentally off the Mandarin and then just take over the role because someone has to. Of course, I really doubt we'll see the character(s) again so it's a moot point.

My favorite theory running around was that there would be a bunch of aim or ten rings member that believed Trevor was playing a long con and would thrust him into an unwanted leadership role and Trevor has to keep playing the Mandarin 24/7 to save his own skin.

That, unfortunately, is part of a larger problem that has nothing to do with fiction and everything to do with people; they're going to take away from stuff what they take away and want to take away, and if they don't feel the need to look at other aspects and/or change their minds, then that is that.

Something Bill's speech demonstrates, he concentrates on the older interpretation because he identifies with it more then modern interpretations.

You simply can't hold an author responsible for interpretations of his work as fiction is essentially chaos incarnate once it encounters a wide audience with disparate interpretations front, left, and center.
