Too many good looking / give a poo poo about hair/fashion/makeup goons in this here thread.
I'm here to bring the average back down on those fronts, and maybe re-affirm the goon stereotype

Here's the longest hair I've ever grown by far

[x] Long, greasy hair
[x] Scruffy as all hell neck beardy looking facial hair
[x] Wrinkly old t-shirt
[ ] Mom's basement

So close

I do know how to shave, I just greatly dislike it. (forgive the chromebook webcam photo quality)

Prior to starting growing my hair out a couple years ago, I would normally shave my head, only letting it grow out to about this long:

I am completely serious. I would like to get rid of that face.

We seem to get a lot of people that have had enough of Quebec out here on Vancouver Island, if that helps? I thought you were a mechanic no? That doesn't exactly scream "very few qualifications". I'm pretty sure there's work to be had for mechanically inclined people out here, if not doing actual licensed mechanic work, then at least some stuff for the logging and/or commercial fishing industries. Or, Christy Clark's pipe dream of promised glorious LNG future should be coming true any day now. drop a big, flat, shallow pan full of ice in front of the fan. as someone who also lives in the desert and has had broken ac's, it works much better than a plan fan to cool down you/your house.

This creates some localized cooling in front of the fan, but unless you have a freezer that vents heat outside of your living space, this will tend to overall increase the temperature in your living space. Think of it as (a slightly more involved method of) leaving your fridge door open in an attempt to cool your kitchen.

Does not apply if you are bringing the ice in from an outside source.

Travelchat: If you can find a way, and can afford the extra time, taking a ship, instead of long east-west flights is the way to go. Gaining or losing an hour each day, instead of all in one go makes the time change waaaaay easier to deal with. If you can find a one way ticket on a relocating cruise, or find some way of booking a spare cabin on a container ship instead of a flight across the atlantic or pacific, it will be far less painful. Granted, anywhere in Asia to the UK is going to be a long rear end time at sea, and probably super hard to find a passenger ship going that way.
