My wife worked at DirecTV back in college, and as long as you show up sober and don't be a complete dumbass with customers, you get crazy bonuses and incentives. She was frequently among the top-ranked representatives at their center, and it translated to literally hundreds of dollars a month in bonuses, plus gift certificates, kitchen appliances, and free DirecTV premium packages at home, not bad at all for a generic part time IT gig.

Yeah, the turnaround for the Vikings over the last 6 years has been amazing, going from Favre being the funslinger, Peterson tearing poo poo up,and the Williams Wall combining with Jared Allen to ball all out, all the way through the Ponder Age, when it was terrible poo poo on the field but impressively so, and now we're the best representation of a Midwest football team: boring as oatmeal but still somehow relevant, even though nobody gives a poo poo. FWIW I don't actually expect much anything to happen this year, even if we sneak into the playoffs, but if we continue on this trend (especially contingent on Teddy progressing), next year could be way fun.

Raw talent that never developed, and even appears to have backslid quite a bit. I catch rumors that he's basically too dumb to learn the playbook, but that's such a tired accusation I don't know that it holds any merit. He's still tossed in for end arounds and whatnot, but not in any appreciable fashion, especially because that's little predicable when it's the only time he's on the field.

Edit: Now having listened to it, it's good stuff. Like you guys mentioned at the onset, obviously it's not the most news-filled time to start talking NFL given we're in offseason limbo, but you covered it well by going over a lot of general discussion. It was definitely informal, basically like sitting at the bar talking football with some buddies, but that's a good thing, if I wanted more hardcore analysis I'd look to Move the Sticks or something, so it scratched a similar itch to the Garbage Time or Sports Without Balls podcasts. Febreeze posted:Yeah, but season 4 kind of started doing that and that's when it was actually kinda good, except for the worst series finale ever. Nothing that far outside it tbh, I'm a big defender of Enterprise, but I'd absolutely agree that half was terrible, and worse yet it wasn't like "seasons 1 and 2 are bad, 3 and 4 are good", it's that 50% of every single episode was decent, while the other was festering poo poo. And I detest Voyager for a whole lot of reasons, but I was mostly poking fun at myself for wanting to get all hot and bothered over silly nerd stuff on the internet.

Yeah, I like Bakula well enough, but a varsity water polo coach is a terrible choice for humanity's first ambassador to the stars. I did love a lot of the background stuff, the Vulcan social civil war and Andorian tensions were both fun, and the Enterprise being held together with baling wire and duct tape while stuck in hostile territory for a season was a continual plot line that actually worked. Half the crew was almost entirely useless, but Trip, T'Pol, and Phlox all had some decent stuff. It was a whole lot of wasted potential, but I wound up with a relatively high opinion of it, mostly because I listened to people bash it for years before ever watching, so my low standards were easily met.
