For me, ignoring all the issues with the plot, my biggest issue with BFT was the suits themselves. GBF was all about the insane customs built off of pre-existing kits but apart from a few notable exceptions BFT felt like 90% original's instead of customs.

I want to see more Fenice and Trion 3 not Build Burning and Winning Gundam.

It's worth keeping in mind that you can make option parts vastly more powerful than the normal melee and ranged weapons.

That's not actually from Gundam SEED, it's from SEED Destiny.

And I just want more HGCE kits, is that too much to ask? :sigh:

I still really want an MG/RG Buster Verde kit.

I think it's a custom Justice or Infinite Justice.

AGE makes a lot more sense (in regards to how it came about) when you know that it was originally an initial plot summary for a video game Level-5 got hired to develop that Bandai decided had to be an anime as well.

I'm not 100% sure really. Mostly commenting on it from memory. The game's supposed to be pretty decent gameplay wise though. Admittedly it is essentially just LBX/Danball Senki with a Gundam skin.

GB3 was infinitely better in terms of build variety because it added actual scaling to option weapons, which GB2 lacked entirely. All of those cool parts with built in weapons were loving useless in GB2 because you couldn't upgrade or improve their base line damage in any way, which meant that past a very quickly surpassed point they did nothing. Considering that an absolutely enormous part of what makes parts unique is their built in gimmicks, this is a glaring oversight that basically shoots customization in the face. GB3 added the ability to scale option part damage so suddenly you could viably play the hardest difficulties with mechs reliant on built-in weaponry, which opened up a gigantic galaxy of build options to play with. For that alone, it is an immeasurably superior game. It also made upgrading and refining parts much, much, much less of a dumb chore.

That said, GB2's story is so loving dumb and fun that it's still loving amazing. GB3's got some fun bits but it's very paint by numbers story-wise.

I don't know if it's been changed in patches but at launch option parts could be vastly more powerful than your actual melee or ranged options. I don't remember the exact number or maths but essentially the bonus caps for option parts were higher and there were more parts you could put those bonuses on. For me though it gave suits a lot more flavour, you spent more time picking parts because of what makes them unique instead of them having better numbers.

Any beginner’s advice for Gundam Breaker 3?

Some move sets have different attacks if you hold instead of tap, same goes for some options weapons doing different things on hold vs tap. Similarly some option weapons and guns work differently in the air (for example the twin buster rifles can do a rolling buster attack).

Early to mid game don't worry too much about special bonuses on gear etc. but (unless it's been changed in patches) option parts from arms, legs, backpack etc. start rapidly out damaging your normal weapons almost entirely due to the fact that +damage cap is higher for them and stats are flattened across all different parts.

I don't even like the designs in motion personally, so much as a I feel like a lot of the smaller details get lost in the blur of action so that only the larger, imposing bulk and general shape is perceived. One thing I do like though is the Minovsky Flight Systems, with the gold lining of the Penelope flashing as it moves; especially with the sound it makes. I do really like the tail on the Penelope too.

I do wonder though, what exactly made Kenneth realize that Hathaway was Mafty? It's something Gigi says that connects the dots in his head, but it doesn't really make sense as a tipping point to me. The exact choreography of the maneuver Hathaway pulls to fool Lane is a bit unclear to me too. He's backing away from the Penelope as he fires missiles at it, and then disappears before the rifle fires off; which propels the rifle backwards in a quick arc before it drops into the water when it loses energy. Which distracts Lane, since he thinks it's the Xi moving away and doesn't realize it's just the rifle. Does that mean Hathaway ducked the Xi underwater as Lane dealt with missiles? Can the Xi and/or Penelope move underwater just as easily as they do in air with the Minovsky Flight units?

Also, a bit of a novel spoilery question for future works, that someone might know. When Kenneth is questioning Gawman he says that someone must be pulling Mafty's strings. Is Quack Salver, a Federation officer who works with Mafty, the one who is manipulating him as Kenneth suspects?

I like the videos that play on the backs of the seats in the taxi Hathaway takes too, with little ads about how the environmental cleanup is progressing, but people should still move to space and poo poo. It's a neat way to fit in a little bit of worldbuilding. It does make me sad that there is no direct follow up to the story though, and the cause of people pushing the Federation to leave the Earth entirely that started with AEUG is pretty much forgotten after this despite the story's conclusion with Kenneth deciding to take up Mafty's cause after executing him. I kind of wonder/hope Sunrise gets someone to make a sequel at some point after this. It wouldn't have a story to follow off of so the writer would have to construct one from scratch, but it'd still be neat.

Regarding the first spoiler: I think it's her mentioning that all he does is try and avoid her that made something click for him.
