I'm a goon so obviously I didn't have a lot of friends growing up, but the few times I did go home with a friend after school I was always offered dinner, and vice versa. And also at adult age, if I've been to a friend's/acquaintance's house for whatever reason I've usually been offered dinner if it's around dinnertime, so this whole thing is news to me. That said who the hell wants to eat a swede's cooking. My mother thinks paprika is an exotic spice.
