I'm pretty sure Thailand isn't the comparison you're looking for. I'd lean toward something like a blend of Pho and the bricks of whale blubber Inuit people chow down on when they're doing the old school hunting feast stuff.

Same. Having grown up in a part of Florida where a lot of washouts from NJ/NY land, that accent brings me right back to all the times when the lovely neighbor from Newak got in fights with the lovely neighbor from Lawn Guyland and the other lovely neighbor from Staten Island living across the street took a break from drinking pissbeer to try acting as a grand mediator and ended up being the punchline to "A NEW CHALLENGER HAS ENTERED THE RING."

For all the flak those parts of the metropolis take, it's the stinking, racist dregs of their society that end up in the already festering swamp that is Flawrda. Trump has the same manner of speaking and the same lovely Jersey Shore Housewives gesticulations to go with it. He embodies nearly all that was bad in my formative years, nice as they were overall. His is the visage of northern racism, lovely pizza, obsessive rentseeking, and hatred of intellectual curiosity. While I have no faith in his capability to feel shame, I'm hoping that he loses so embarrassingly that he's rendered incapable through physical and mental stress of returning to the public eye in any role other than the defendant in endless criminal and civil litigation. I hope his family's brand never recovers and that society, once finished paving over the embers of his movement, salts the night soil he came from.

Lol that's never going to happen and the stench of trumpism will forever tickle our collective nostrils.

I'm not claiming jury nullification but they weren't leaving their guns outside when they hosed around inside the building(s) on the refuge so that's

18 USC Sec. 930 - possession of a firearm in a federal facility.

The broke the poo poo out of those bird cameras, that's 18 USC Sec. 1361 - destruction of federal property.

The most unrealistic thing is NH going Trump. Definitely only a nightmare scenario, though.

Right up there, though, are NV and NC. Nevada is probably going to see Clark County run up enough of an early voting lead that it will be called upon polls closing and NC is banking a similarly massive early vote lead that it should get called early too. Maybe not on exits and earlies alone, but as soon as those county results start coming in. A lot of people are Pissed With a Capital P at McCrory and the GOP for all their poo poo and are highly motivated to throw them out.

Either Clinton is unremittingly delusional as Trump or she is aware of valid reasoning to have a phone banking op running in NE-2 this close to the election. Got called earlier asking if I had time to volunteer.

Granted I picked a hell of a time to buy a house and will be lucky if I have 20 spare minutes between now and election day but the fact that there's still some kind of ground game in a place like this in a time where you aren't making hail marys.

Anybody using the Giant Douche vs Turd Sandwich dichotomy for this election should not be taken seriously at this point. Hillary Clinton has plenty of negatives, none of which are unusual for most American politicians; but saying that she's equally as terrible as anybody the GOP was going to put forth (let alone Donald) is reaching heavily for a "pox on both houses" equivalency which misses any of the very thought and nuance they supposedly want from their idealized, conceptual candidate that will never exist.

Criticism of Clinton is valid, but these purity tests asked of people who clearly already understand her faults is pointless.

It usually comes off like long-term sour grapes with regard to the primary. Starry-eyed idealists so upset about what amounts to political worldliness that the distance between reality and their daydreams makes all the differences among the actual candidates seem invisible. Either that or it's the same old ronpaul gang latching on to the first aging firebrand they bump into because reasons.
