I think I might gently caress around and try this game. Do we have much presence on xbox? If I just really liked skyrim and plan to solo most of the time, how hosed am I? I see a lot of folks mixing armor pieces and dyes and all that, does anyone know how to make something that looks close to how the thieves guild armor in skyrim looks? I saw that someone pulled off a halfway decent nightingale look and it got me thinking. This is also a terrible idea, isn't it?

Noob guide to cyrodiil: As soon as you load in, type lfg in zone chat. Join a group. Any group. Enjoy 5 minutes (at best) of loading screens. Enjoy 10 minutes of riding your horse as fast as you fuckin can. Enjoy 5 seconds of actual fighting before you get face-wrecked by a 12 year old who will tell you repeatedly to 'git gud' (note: the 12 year old might actually be pushing 40) If the stars align, and you can hang with your group for awhile, taking keeps will get you pretty good AP

I'm gonna add to this by saying, if youre stam, you can also level 2 weapon skills at the same time this way. Just put 1 point in a weapon ability when you unlock it, and put that on your bar, then equip a completely different weapon to actually fight with. Try and wear 1 piece of each armor type to level your armor skills. 5 pieces of what you need, and then 1 each of the others. This helps a lot when you hit max level because: A. One of the passives in the Undaunted skill line gives you 1% (then 2%) max to your stats for each piece you wear, 6% to everything is pretty drat good ime. B. The first 3 passives in each armor skill are also small but useful, and if you have points to spare I highly recommend them on pretty much any character, none of these bonuses are amazing, but all this little poo poo does add up. Edit: the reason you also do your bars this way is because each skill line levels independently, and only skills on your active bar get xp. With how easy respecs are, it makes the most sense to try and get all your skill lines maxed ASAP Error 404 fucked around with this message at 01:02 on Aug 12, 2018 |

Yeah, this game is pretty forgiving in that way, the only thing you risk losing is time (aw poo poo I need X and I haven't levelled it yet) and some gold (aww poo poo I put points in health and mag). I might be alone in this but I like the main plot, or the ideas there, the execution is flawed at times. Yes, it's just Oblivion again. But honestly it feels like Oblivion done better. Tamriel is hosed up, lesser threats see opportunity to start poo poo. some people are deadric cult infiltrators, others just try to appease the daedra to survive. There's weight and change (as much as an mmo can manage to be fair) and it all feels appropriately world shaking. It's not just 8 dudes outside of Bruma and then watch an NPC turn into a dragon.

I know every zone is playable at every level, but would the Greymoor story more or less work if I just go straight into it without worrying about going through earlier story content? Feeling obligated to do years of content before I can jump into the new stuff just makes everything seem way less fun. You can absolutely just go do whatever looks fun. The only real weirdness is occasionally you meet an NPC who's like "oh hey remember when we did (thing)?" And you've never seen them before. If that kind of stuff doesn't bother you, then gently caress chronological order and just do whatever, man.

They recently made vigor the first unlocked skill in the skill line for this reason. You don't even need to do the quest. You go into cyrodiil, talk to the guy, tell him you don't need training, walk 30 feet to the General/Commander/Warlord, confirm that "yep, I don't need training." And you get the skill lines, Assault and Support, along with 2 free skill points. Then walk over to the wayshrine in the base and GTFO. Then you put a point into vigor and it levels up on your bar like any other skill, morph etc. You never have to think about pvp again. Only if you decide later that you want to unlock other skills in those lines, will you need to do pvp to level up the skill lines.

Are there any notable reasons to make a Warden over a healer or a tank, or likewise with a Necromancer, like being particularly effective or having an easier time doing the job? Or is it just down to personal preference? 90% personal preference. But I hear that wardens can be really good healers because of class skills/passives. Necros can make good debuff healers and have the mass rez ult. Alternately: Wardens can make hella tough tanks and resource management is easy via netch. Necro tanks get spoken of as being pretty on par with dragonknight tanks in terms of toughness/survivability.
