The layout is bad but it's bad everytime and eventually I forget how bad it is and then I look at a screenshot of the past and I think it looked worse. Also, they have to do stuff like this because it makes things seem less stagnant, and is easier than fixing their "ad problem".

And I agree making money on video games feels like it'll inevitably stop/change drastically as companies realize there's additional revenue to be had there. But I dont think it justifies the prevalent hardline attitude this subforum had towards monetization for years because hey why not make $13, everyone here probably uses ad blocker anyway.

I hate the vile trolls too, especially when I lay out a pile of birdseed (with a sign above it that says "birdseed") and tie an anvil to a rope and hang it precariously above the birdseed. When the trolls eat the birdseed, I let go of the rope, yet to my chagrin, the anvil mysteriously hangs in the air! Naturally, I go to investigate this phenomenon, only for the anvil to comically flatten me.

It sounds like it was terribly managed and run by incompetent people, but I don't know what there is to "quit" since apparently it was a voluntary contribution thing. They didn't share revenue or provide a video hosting platform, as far as I understand, it was a way for other people to uhhh y'know... piggyback off Nostalgia Critic? I guess? Not saying it excuses what the management did, I just don't really understand why endure in that environment silently when they have almost no leverage over you. I liked the part about checking if the whitehouse.gov webpage designers would do their site.
