See, that's interesting. When I was a kid, I never really thought of the pics from the "photo booth" as being supposed to represent the game's "real" style, even though they were presented as photos. Like, for some reason I never imagined them as a snapshot of a cutscene, even though in hindsight that's what they were intended to be.

I just can't reconcile the imagery my mind created as a kid, with the way Nintendo is redoing the graphics.

I don't think people who like it are wrong to do so, and it's frustrating that when I say I don't like it myself, the reaction is to say I'm a loving moron etc.

Jet Set Radio was the first cel shaded game but Wind Waker was only 2 years later and was significantly more popular. I think it was still early enough for "one of the first" to be accurate.

While the original metroid prime team is scattered to the winds many of the people that worked directly under them are still at retro and that's literally the closest you're gonna get.

It's a character action game along the lines of Bayonetta or Metal Gear Rising but with a really goofy and charming plot. It's a really solid and endearing action game but it sold really poorly because it was on the Wii U and it wasn't advertised well.

The ESRB has an obligation to mention that gambling mechanics are in a video game. Of course how it is right now is that this is not mentioned at all, and games are not rated accordingly either. All sports games for example have a E rating, despite having gambling mechanics in them. How old do you have to be to gamble in the United States? Now, see how this is a serious issue?
