You get two new maps + 2 sniper assassin maps, eventually. The maps are a decent bet to be "very good" as they are churning out great stuff now. It's honestly a bad value but I'm a Hitman stan and I want to support independent IO (although apparently it doesn't matter as they're getting bought by Microsoft, drat)

The best thing to do is probably buy Hitman 2 + the Legacy pack (if you don't have it), that will give you a ton of great content to screw around with.

It promotes a very different atmosphere and play-style than your "typical" Hitman level, by design. I don't think it quite lands but it's pretty good.

Hitman 2's level design is really "safe" and I don't mean that as a negative. The levels are the best they've ever been.

The release of Hitman 2016 was a lesson in how waiting for the "complete" game was overrated and you have more fun if you play it episodically.

There was also Assassin's Creed multiplayer, if you got a good match it played a lot like what you're envisioning. Big problem here was that both pros and newbs played without any regard for stealth (for completely different reasons)

The hacker saw his buddy get wrenched and then I shot him in the head and still lost Silent Assassin. Bummer. I really miss the previous games' method of not breaking SA when you beaned people if the onlooker was a target and was killed before they could communicate with anyone.

Man this is truly a Live Services game done right. Good content, doesn't require some bullshit deal to unlock it, the timed stuff is generous enough to enjoy. Glad to support these guys.

They were 100% transparent about what you would be getting and for some reason some people are still whining about it almost a year later. It was always going to be a bad value.

Be real careful about assuming anything from those stats. Hitman 2 is a well-known idlers game.

Man I really wish they had done some sort of load testing, there's all sorts of cloud computing resources you can use now in order to dynamically scale up your capacity for launch days. jesus christ that was also the E3 that I made stupidly fawning comments to Bruce Campbell as I got his autograph and think I creeped him out a bit

I was at this E3 as well. Played GTA 2 and was like "jesus this is gonna be a monster hit". That was an incredible E3 to attend, happy memories.

The story is good enough that if you want to get into it, you can. That's about the best I can say about it. It's not terrible and I'm enjoying it just fine.
