Thinking of the question "What kind of cop are you?"; I came up with a thought exercise that might be fun to do, and maybe help us get familiar with the Metric system. The idea is to pick a character from a book/movie/play/etc. that you really like, or just want to emulate in the game, and create a sheet for it. Pick a famous cop or detective, such as Sherlock Holmes - Elementary version. Or the friendly neighborhood Spiderman. Maybe Macbeth? Or how about Lorraine Broughton (Atomic Blonde)? I picked Lew Archer, one of the classic hardboiled private detectives. This is my subjective read of the character (If you think you have a better one then ) I used High/Fair/Poor to describe the skill levels, but you can do w/e. Psyche pre:Volition High Inland Empire Poor Empathy High Authority Fair Suggestion Fair ESPRIT DE CORPS ? pre:Hand/Eye Coordination High Reaction Speed Fair Perception High Savoir Faire Poor Composure High Interfacing ? pre:Logic High Rhetoric Poor Encyclopedia Poor Drama Fair Conceptualization Fair Visual Calculus Fair pre:Physical Instrument Fair Electrochemistry Poor Endurance Fair Half Light Poor Pain Threshold High Shivers Fair Prefers to not carry a gun whenever possible, but is an excellent shot. Empathic, but will often be critical of people's appearance. Knows the ins and outs of his profession, but he isn't a walking encyclopedia. Can understand addicts, but can control his own urges. Isn't beyond lying to people to get information. Won't be bought or suffer corruption. Has an excellent memory for clues and facts. Well, that's Archer. Hope you enjoyed my itry fucked around with this message at 05:49 on Sep 26, 2019 |

I'm just at the blackness intro, but that conversation was something else; What's out there? The apes and the ball. How small are the apes? How big is the ball? What happened to me? You lost. And then that loud engine sound. Chilling.

I'm nearing the end of the second day and need some cash for rent. I'm wondering if there is any use for this item or can I safely pawn it? This game is very dense, I feel like I'm going through it really slowly.

Finished the game. I had a 3/5/1/3 Harry with high Empathy/Volition/Perception/EDC, and I love how he turned out by the end. A lot of stuff to say, but it's all spoilers. Maybe when the thread quiets down and more people have played it. The end with the phasmid was pretty strong too, similar to the end of day 1. And it was fun shoving my accomplishments down Jean's throat. Man that incredibly sad guy (according to Empathy) guy comes off as a prick. Small complaint: The ending/fade-to-black was kind of abrupt. Maybe I'll go with a drunk and angry cop next playthrough. And these moments were pretty great: Would also work with a lot of the other ones. itry fucked around with this message at 00:16 on Oct 19, 2019 |

The game tells you when you're reaching a point of no return or something like it. I don't know how long I've played, but it must have been at least 20 or 25 hours. I haven't read all the books, and I haven't done some stuff I know I could've. There's probably more I'm not aware of. The devs are possibly counting multiple playthroughs. itry fucked around with this message at 00:23 on Oct 19, 2019 |

No it doesn't. Finding Ruby triggers the shootout which closes some things in the harbor, but going to the isle triggers the actual ending. It may be also time limited, but if it is I haven't reached it.

If you can't stand hardboiled noir stories then you might not like the game's ending, or story beats.Neurosis posted:Edgar and Evrart wanted conflict too. Evrart is pleased as punch at everything that followed from the murder acting as a spark. I got the impression Wild Pines was more willing to compromise but was playing dirty by sending the merc team in to drum up scabs and if an opportunity came up kill the Union leaders. Evrart also must have known who killed the merc. He absolutely wants a war. There are at least two bullets in the game. And I'm pretty sure the killer wanted to kill Klassje too somewhere in his broken brain, instead of just "punishing" her.
