Garfield pulls off a really enjoyable physicality with Spider Man that I feel isn’t as obvious in Holland and certainly not Maguire. He just looks acrobatic as gently caress, pulling off all sorts of poses in the air like they’re comic panels. It makes his fight scenes in ASM fun as hell.

Why have a thing that looks like Shuma-Gorath but isn’t Shuma-Gorath and thus largely blunts any chance of bringing Dr. Strange’s archetypical nemesis into his movies?

Maybe Loki too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the movie had Strange blaming himself for loving up the Multiverse in No Way Home but then he's brought to Xavier who tells him "No your little spell didn't do anything crazy. The Multiverse was broken by this other person... maybe you've heard of Loki?"

If that is Professor X, why the gently caress is he being brought in as Multiverse_exposition.mp4? He’s a powerful telepathic who’s not PARTICULARLY prone to loving about in the multiverse

This is fair, and why my comment about not knowing who BB is was tangental. Me not knowing who someone is, at this point of my life, is on me, not them. But not knowing who a comic book character is that they want to make a movie out of is kind of weird, unless the character is super new or something. I was really into Spider-Man comics when I was younger, and I've tried to stay somewhat in touch with the property since then, only falling off when my daughter was born 6 years ago.

If the poster earlier was correct and he was only in 2 issues of a Spider-Man comic, that is definitely an odd choice to get their own movie. But hey, it's Sony, where odd choices live. (Glances in Morbius' general direction.)

Can’t do the Zapata Brothers because they don’t own them! So they went dumpster diving for a Lucha antihero?

I’m sorry have y’all never read comics before? It’s exceedingly rare you can pick up any comic and know exactly what’s going on without reading (sometimes) years of backlog to be caught up. Usually though, they do a p decent job of catching you up to speed enough to know what’s going on.

Everyone's mad at Wong for not being a micromanager.

Since Wandavision (first media post-Endgame when he was made Sorcerer Supreme) he has let several multiversal threats loose, let Wanda magically colonize a town, did nothing to stop an Evil Dragon from breaching into the world, let a bunch of Egyptian Gods gently caress with the night sky and fight through Giza, and, most frustratingly, let a student sacrifice herself to protect knowledge he IMMEDIATELY gave up.

You know what he did do? Run a sports betting racket in Madripoor with Abomination.

Does the Sorcerer Supreme have dominion over gods? If so, does that make him Black Panther's ultimate boss?

And besides the dragon, which didn't happen on Earth, the rest happened under Strange's watch and Wong inherited Strange. The real issue is the Ancient One and her dark dimension-riddled brain giving Strange so much responsibility.

My post was mostly a joke just cuz I think it’s funny that Wong would rather make a buck with a back alley fight club rather than handle the very legitimate threats that keep cropping up. But also, everything I just said is post-Endgame, and we know Wong inherited the position when Strange got snapped, so it was all his jurisdiction.
