Obviously Broly is popular with the fanbase at large, and somebody must like Red Hood because he keeps popping up everywhere, but threads on Something Awful tend to develop very strong Thread Opinions and Dark Tzitzimime would show up with the opposite of every single one of them lol. It's been long enough that I don't remember why Broly was so disliked by the regulars.

The other slightly interesting thing about Hogwarts Legacy is that the game goes out of its way to make you a 15 year old transfer student (in the wizarding world?), because presumably they did not have the guts to have you be capping goblins as a ten year old.

Normally when people complain about everything turning into "magic nonsense", what they mean is that they thought the characters were interesting so they preferred that the initial conflict was about their motivations and personalities and not "someone touched the magic rocks and now they're bad." Which I think is sympathetic. But I would still play Final Fantasy 16 if I had a PS5.

A recurring theme in a lot of these topical events is that a lot of Americans consider following the rules as something beneath them, so people completely freak out at being told what to do because it's supposed to be something that only lower class people have to deal with. There's rather obvious historical reasons for how this became the culture. edit: come to think of it it's kind of like a diffused version of the submarine thing. I've only played Atelier Ayesha but it's a JRPG series so it's less about making potions to sell and more about crafting explosive bombs that deal 9999 damage and give you every status effect under the sun.
