By my understanding, when you first hit 50 and you're not into understanding how it works and more complex tactics, this is almost certainly what you're gonna start off with from the reps regardless of ship, and then people can ask for advice about the rest of the fleet consoles to fill it out with and we can all argue about +Neutronium vs Monotanium. Feel free to correct me. Put it in the wiki instead I say and do feel free to update any outdated article that you come across.

When I logged in today for some free lobi I was totally unprepared for what awaited me. It began like a session like any other; say hi in the channel and check what the duty officers have brought this time. That's when I saw it: "Evaluate Orion Tactical Bridge Officer Applicant", only a rare result so it was less likely to be useful but one never knows. Little did I know what lurked behind the innocuous reward icon... I now sit here, a man broken by the knowledge that things lurk in the dark expanse of space. Things that man was not meant to see. Things too horrible to behold. I only hope that my tale serves as a warning for others...

dangersandwich posted:I stopped playing a bit after season 8 came out. I destroyed all the PvE content (including ground STFs) and also what little there was of the PvP scene. It's not more of the same actually. Season 9 changed the game completely into a Cooking Mama like game except focused more on presenting a balanced difficulty curve while still staying true to the spirit of Klingon cuisine. I also think that the addition of Occulus Rift support really makes the new cell-shaded graphics come to life but reaction have been mixed so I'll leave it up to you whether or not you enjoy that particular aspect or not. All in all I'd say that it's probably all for the best. Also, if you do decide to check it out I'd recommend respeccing into singing fast-food vendor since gagh is a bit overpowered at the moment.

It's a testament to how non-transparent all the mechanics of this game are when I have no idea whether or not you guys are just taking the piss or not. I mean on the one hand it would take a shitload of boxes to figure out and it's a really stupid system but on the other hand I know that some of you have enough in-game riches to basically buy the game twice over and still have money left and Cryptic isn't exactly known for their brilliant design decisions.

If it's the same as last year then it's going to be about two weeks worth of ice skating on two characters if you haven't gotten either of the ships before. Three characters if they add a new one this year which is very likely. Mind you, this is if they do the same as with the Risa ships where you only needed one days worth of activities to claim a ship on a character if you had already claimed it on another char.
