I recently rediscovered Dungeon Warfare thanks to this thread.

I am absolutely rear end at it. Are there any good builds people gravitate towards? I only just got to the level where I can unlock the bolt launcher.

Early on, use the spinning trap and the spike trap. The spinning trap will stall mobs while the spike kills them. For later on, your best bet is environmental deaths using the pusher, spring board and harpoon to toss mobs into pits.

For really really early on, using the darts with the pushback upgrade in conjunction with spikes and slime pits.

Don't forget to use a fully upgraded lightning trap at the entrance of your stuff to AOE off all shields.

I can't wait for the sequel to be release on android, I'm not sure what's taking so long.

The company was emailing players back saying they would work on one up to Google's new code, but this was about 200 days ago. I'm pretty pissed that I don't get a refund.

Yeah, the Dev (HareBrained Schemes) did the same thing on iOS - They just hosed off when the iOS 11 (10?) update hit and told all their customers to take a hike.

How's Dungeon Warfare 2? I know it's out on Steam and other platforms, but I'm really only interested in the Android version.

Love the hell out of the first one.

Fantastic. There's quite a bit more depth this time around with specific traps being modifiable via Items (IE Chakram Traps can knockback, Push Trap will stun units when pushing against a wall, etc) and Skills to modify all trap/game behaviour (Increase gold income, Increase Damage, etc)

It's also introduced prestiging which is basically a reset at higher difficulty but you keep some skill points from previous run throughs.

If I had one complaint, it would be that you still cannot build invincible barriers. I get why not, but its still annoying.

PS: Axe Trap is life, or more specifically: death.

Try Templar Battleforce. It's by the Trese Bros so it's a one time buy with quite a lot of depth.

Chaos Reborn I haven't tried.

Then of course there's a psp emulator to get all of its great releases.

RIP Shadowrun Returns on Android

There's supporting premium games (which I do) and then theres not being a complete idiot with you money (which I try to do). Disgaea's price point makes it fall into the latter.

Also HBS gets no loving sympathy from me after they completely neglected Shadowrun on iOS. I reluctantly bought Battletech when I saw them attached to it, and I only bought that for giant robots punching other giant robots.

What's the best non-Dungeon-Warfare tower defense game on here? Premium is preferred. I excluded those two because I already have them.

The next best one is Bloons TD 6. There is IAP in there but you'd be a fool to buy it as everything it offers can be earned in game really easily.

Lots of towers, lots of upgrades, lots of maps, and lots of updates.

The Kingdom Rush series is good too, but I feel they tend to push you towards purchasing IAP.

hey thread, I was wondering what's some good mindless games to play while chilling on the couch with the gf and just passing the time.

I already am about to buy FF Tactics, and was wondering about the Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, NWN ports and if they were any good. I'm on a Galaxy Note 8 by the way, and would love to be able to play something that's smooth with the stylus - for instance, a strategy game or something like that Rome Total War port.

i loving love strategy games, and if something like Heroes of Might and Magic 3 or Civilization or such were possible, i'd loving buy it in an instant.

None of those are mindless, and while they're decent ports they're still not great on a small screen (including a note). If its your only way to play them or youve played them so much you dont need to read anything then jump on in.

Get Slay the Spire and a TD (Dungeon Warfare or Bloons TD6) for mindlessness. Then Crying Suns for stylus.

Civ has Civ6 (which is apparently broken now? Idk) and Unciv. There is a ghetto port/emulator for HoMM3 but its super jank.

It is also free so that is cool.

Its a great game. If youre looking for StS but not StS, Rogue Adventure and Night of the Full Moon are best. People also like Pirate Outlaws but i find that super grindy.

Re Rogue Adventures

I find the best success with Necromancer, Druid and Hunter.

As a general rule I would suggest staying away from burn damage and use poison instead. Burn procs after the enemy attack and is affected by armor. Poison procs before their attack, and isn't affect by armor. It's not even like poison damage is rarer than burn, its just as common in cards and I think is more prevelant on relics.

Also Weak is a pretty great debuff, and the relics only make it better.

Have people had a good experience with Slay the Spire on their phone? I was so excited about it, but just find the UI makes it frustrating to play. I find it difficult to look at the cards in my hand without accidentally playing them. Once I take a look at one, it's really hard to put it back to look at a different one. What am I doing wrong?

Turn on "Long-press Confirmation" in the settings. In game, look at a card, and then tap "end turn" when you want to stop looking at it. With long-press activated, it will clear your pickup and not end your turn. Its the best work around I've found.

Thanks for the tip. I'm liking the game enough after a couple hours that I'm gonna look up some starting tips like that as I've gotten my butt kicked in a couple of battles already.

First couple runs, focus on your officers and autotrain your crew. Early on, grab as many skill save talents as you can. After that, try to get some talents that will get you more contacts.

Doing the Caen quest line is a decent one in the beginning because a) its just a lot of ferry quests b) you only piss off one faction c) he pays well.

What kind of run are you doing?

Firstly, I want to point out that I really dig the pixel art for the game. It's a little gritty and rough and seems to suit the vibe the game is going for pretty well.

Dice-based RPG that involves upgrading your party via drops/experience. All combat is done with a D6 with skills that are unique to each character and enemy. Items generally alter sides of the dice and character experience upgrades usually change all 6.

Has a pretty robust demo version available to see if it is to your tastes, I believe 7.99 for the full version.

It's pretty great. I wish Circadian Dice would get ported but Slice and Dice is pretty drat good.

If you're having trouble with the 3D dice disappearing after app sleep trying readjusting the UI and they'll pop back up
