So the Dems aren't going to be so stupid as to actually elect Pelosi speaker again, are they?

Remember all those smug fucks who told us "Elections have consequences" after Trump got elected? Feel free to throw it back in their faces if they start complaining about one of the 57 simultaneous House investigations.
They're not going to happen, Pelosi has already indicated she's not interested.

Have federal employees officially missed a paycheck yet?

edit: Looked this up, according to the calendar on gsa.gov the 28th should have been a payday.

It's Aunt Martha from the movie Sleepaway Camp if I'm not mistaken.

The first time I saw this movie I thought she was played by a man in drag, and then I just assumed that had been the case for years, until I eventually read the credits.

I think there's a really important point that Northam and Lieberman are missing, and maybe a few others. The issue is not the belief that Northam is a racist and should resign. It's very possible he learned his lesson and changed his ways.
The issue is that by remaining in power he perpetuates hurt and pain among black individuals, makes it way more difficult for the state to heal, and let's face it he has lost any trust and ability to govern effectively.
And by remaining in his seat, he actually gives strong evidence that he actually isn't as sensitive to the real concerns of black individuals and calls into serious question whether he's actually fully changed.
So by staying in his seat he ends up reinforcing the very belief that he's insensitive to black concerns.
It's just infuriating that the right gets to chalk up a "win" based on a charge of racism. Like, parties reversed, this would not be happening because Republican-Northam would have had his party close ranks around him.
Obviously the right thing to do is resign, but Northam and his fellow Dems should be demanding blood for blood.

OK this was so many pages ago and the 90s music derail is long gone but gently caress if I'm going to let this dogshit revisionist take stand. Nirvana wanted to make punk rock. Nirvana wanted to make noise rock. Nirvana had no goddamn interest in making a bloated psychedelic-shoegaze album. Kurt loving hated that poo poo.
