Am I wrong in thinking this is not as bad as it looks? I know with wood beams you can make holes in the webbing (?) part as long as they don't exceed certain sizes and are properly spaced.

Is it legal to keep deer you hit with your car there? I think it's illegal in Texas.

When I was 9 years old, my mom was driving us to grandma's house on Christmas Eve when we hit a deer and did a good amount of damage to our minivan. We were in one of the redneck/good-ole-boy dominated areas of the state (Jackson, Michigan) and a line of pickups stopped behind us-- to check on the deer. Not one person came to see if we were dead or alive, they just wanted to wait and see if we claimed the carcass or not. We were shaken up but mostly fine, and did not claim the carcass, so someone else went home with Christmas dinner. I can probably mark that as my first time realizing people truly suck.

An ex-Bulgarian VVS aircraft, N923UB, is operational and on display at the Cold War Air Museum near Dallas, Texas.

This is another angle of the #MIG23 crash that happened yesterday at the Thunder of Michigan Airshow. Apparently the plane suffered an engine problem and the little that is known is that it spat out a flame, it is not known if due to the ingestion of a bird or due to an engine failure itself. This same plane was a few days ago at Oshkosh 2023, the largest air festival in the world where it was one of the stars of the show. It was the only private MIG23 in the world.
Both pilots are fine and luckily the plane crash did not cause any injuries in the inhabited area where it crashed.

They are the market leaders in this space and once you own one of their products it is obvious why. Extremely well made, you can use and abuse them and they will just start up with a button press the next time. There is basically no maintenance required. Extremely quiet. The batteries are the most expensive part, the $500 combos are basically a $250 battery with a $250 mower.

I'd rather pay a couple hundo extra than ever have to deal with hauling an extension cord around my yard.

You did not include the cost of gas.

Sure in a straight up cost comparison, your loud, polluting gas mower is going to win every time. You can certainly buy cheaper battery powered mowers, but you'll get what you pay for with the EGO.

I tried to get a 46" tv in the back seat of my Camry in the late 2000's and couldn't actually get the doors closed, so I had to go rent a Uhaul to get it home. When I finally upgraded to a 65", I had that sucker delivered.

I went through all the effort to set up a derrick the one year I deep fried a turkey:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O14bgW8xmqk

And it was complete overkill. As long as you don't overfill your pot with oil and aren't chucking a frozen turkey into it, you're not going to set anything on fire. I deep fried two turkeys that both came out great, it was super fast compared to oven roasting them, and that crispy skin is just divine. The only downsides are cost of the oil and the cleanup afterwards took forever.
