Yes the actual fight was pretty great. Matt Damon was ehh, and Ben Affleck was just pretty good. The bleached hair thing was stupid though, I agree.

The hair is awesome imo.

Closest thing to a Ridley Scott 'Final Fantasy Tactics' we will get.

Can’t believe The Power of the Dog was nominated for so many Oscars. Especially from a story perspective was complete student film material, in my opinion.

It wasn't bad, but it was a chore to finish (took 3 different sittings for me).

I understand it getting all the nominations because "OMG THEMES" and the older voters by default leaning towards quiet dramas because of them coming across as more "dignified" and thus "objectively better," but aside from Cumberbatch's fits of psychopathy, there is close to zero entertainment value in this thing.

Still dug the poo poo out of it, if not for the sheer audacity.

Shame that it goes from having one of the best pilots I've ever seen to just meandering around for the rest of the season.

I want less time on gaijin hostesses club poo poo and Adelstein loving whores in S2 and more of a cat & mouse chase with the Yakuza / insurance people, ideally all directed by Mann.

Believe it or not, the game's good. It suffered from a lot of bugs at launch, but mostly on consoles. I played on my PC and encountered very few during my time playing it. It doesn't live up to the expectations after Witcher 3, but now that they've ironed everything out, I wouldn't call it stapled together anymore. Since the launch of the show, apparently the game has the highest number of people playing it that it's ever had.

I've got a PS5 and it looks like it won't be too bad as long as I'm in performance mode.

Ugh might pull the trigger now though instead of waiting another half a year for the dlc.

Sopranos is shot/lit perfectly. Accurate visual representation of living in North Jersey in the late-90's & early 00's (smog-tinted sunlight hitting pastel-colored living rooms, lovely florecent lights in businesses and whatnot, underlit restaurants, gross-rear end docks, the existence of the Meadowlands, etc.)

The dream sequences are the only time this (slightly) changes.

ruddiger posted:

Are the early sopranos seasons only available in 4x3 or were they remastered after everything switched to 16x9?

They were all shot in 16:9 but the first 3 seasons are framed for 4:3 (so occasionally there'll be some awkwardly unused space in the scene blocking).

Cats Don't Dance, a charming little animated musical about animal actors trying to make it in Hollywood, is free with ads on Youtube. Starring Jasmine Guy and Scott Bakula, songs by Randy Newman, and choreography assistance from Gene Kelly (his last project before he died). Also has one of the great villain/henchman teams.

I had this on VHS!

Also remember it airing a few times on Cartoon Network (bc turner ofc)
