I don't know if quirks would matter for the remaining center torso though. My preferred Timber is 4x ASRM 6 and 4x SPL. The missiles at least have a good hardpoint location.

I've had bugs like that pop up for other messages, you might fix it by just restarting.Washout posted:PGI contracted a company to write the game for them, they are just the maintenance team and the original programmers are long gone and unreachable. I don't think they could even program in a FFA game mode. THIS EXPLAINS SO MUCH.

There was an event recently, if you spent money buying MC or mechs, you got a free mech with a unique layout and colour scheme. It's too late to spend money to get them now, and they weren't a hugely great deal in any case, in my opinion.

How dumb am I for liking new Frozen City? There are parts of old FC I miss, like the Tunnel of Love, and the city block fighting, but new FC dispenses with the bullshit dropship centerpiece, which is unambiguously good imo.

You can get 4v4s in faction play, the aforementioned scouting. But 8v8s are dead until pgi is overthrown, and an opensourcacracy established in its place.

I think the best starting point with your newbie bundle of cbills is an arctic cheetah. the classic build is 5 small pulse lasers and an ecm, run around frantically and shoot butts.

I think mediums and heavies give you just enough crunch to make you think you can deal, though. With a light you're going to at least have a sliver of a chance to vamoose before the hammer falls. You're going to die horribly to start with regardless though. And going fast is inherently fun.

I seem to recall there being a bug for a few mechs that kept arm hitboxes around after they were destroyed, transferring their damage to torso at half rate. Supposing it's purposeful would be less plausible if a leading dev hadn't implied he was ok with the perception of his game being 'pay2win'
