My experience with this game so far has been fun. Starter area, me and five other guys stood round the laptop, making sure nobody could continue. We also had two guys in front of the door to get in. I then joined a group of pubs, one of them started going on about the cool lesbian doctor and how its so cool they're representing her. Said pubby got really annoyed when I asked why they care so much about a pixel persons sexuality and proceeded to yell at me for five minutes until I shot a dog, at which point he quit. Game is fun.

Utnayan posted:For me at any rate, it is about knowing there is mission variety so I am not doing the same mission type over and over. By that, wanting to know if it is at least disguised a bit. Say for instance, being sent in to destroy a shipment, sabotage an enemy loot cache, a mission having different objectives than go here, defend against a wave of enemies, rinse and repeat the entire game. If it has that, even if minimal and only with story missions, that would help and I would grab it over lunch on PS4. The abilities and skill options and pseudo base building look good, with a lot of customization - along with griefing the ever living poo poo out of Zaphod42 in a DZ while blasting Air Supply's "Here I am the one that you love" over my headset - can make the game epic while the little prick cries himself to sleep over his lost loot. For a serious answer, I've done about 10 missions. One was "defend these supply drops, they're not all in one area", two were "go through area, kill dudes", one was "find all the contaminated scanning things, go upload it. One was "defend this person", another was "free the hostages" and that's just from memory. I don't remember the rest because it was like 2am. There are also collectables/dark zone stuff. Plenty of variety in the three or so hours i've managed to get out of it. However if you're expecting this game to be revolutionary and come up with mission objectives that aren't "go here, do this" then lol. Not happening.

Whatever happened to that feature where you could play using an Ipad or something? I remember thinking that was cool because my little brother has one and is poo poo at shooters, so he could still participate using that. Also the dark zone is fun but the level difference is insane. Four level 10's were struggling to down a level 14 (granted when he did go down and got back up its because none of us realised the medic bag let you do that). Definitely worth staying out. My group are generally rogue hunters but we go rogue on occasion if its funny, we took out six people in one blast earlier and ended up having a rolling firefight all through the dark zone, even into the levels where we couldn't see the enemies levels as it was so high. Baiting people into high level looters/cleaners is loving great. Getting your filter up to level 4 seems important too, as anyone chasing you after you've gone rogue will have to gently caress off if you sprint into the subway.

The mines will follow up to kill the downed players with no additional input from you.

If you specialise in tech and get the sticky bomb mod that applies bleed + the talent that increases bleed, you can single handedly clear entire extraction zones. I'm level 14, so are all my buds. We're all using level 4 gas masks and just run into the sewers once the manhunt is on. We've had at least 5 pubbies die before they realised where they were.

The dps jump between level 12 and 14 is insane. If a group of lower levels starts shooting a level 14, the level 14 can just stand there and shoot back. 90% of the time they'll die before you will.

I would definitely pay good money for an extra area that you have to take bird coins into as a huge risk/reward thing. Maybe the more you take in the higher quality drops you can expect? A daily's worth of bird coins at a minimum but add half a percentage point for every extra coin you take in or something stupid.

The DZ03 extraction point with all the boxes and the ground helipad is amazing. Just met up with two random guys to clear it and help out the guy trying to extract alone. Another non english guy wades in and the place loving erupts with gunfire. The named boss spawns, cleaners come in from the north, enemies are pouring all over the place, at one point we must have been fighting 40+ enemies, including the named boss, an lmg elite and a cleaner elite. Will drop most enemies in half a clip (50% chance of keeping my bullet on a headshot) and the clip empties in a second or two. Yesterday I put the damage sig on, opened up on a named DZ enemy and obliterated the guy before he could react, was great. Stream of lead all day every day.
